Achievements... in Maple?

Think about it! It'd be like VERY odd quests, implying to do silly stuff, mostly. AND I have an idea to make them useful. Also, add some class related achievements, and you are set!

I'll be updating this from time to time, BUT try to contribute. The idea is to have each achievement give you points, depending on how hard they are to get. The total is used for something I don't know yet :p

Common class achievements:

-Hunter: Kill 1,000,000 monsters.
-VIP: Get 100 fames in the same day.
-On the edge: Kill 100 straight monsters with 1 hp left, and without healing.
-Time paradox: Defeat Papulatus.
-Down the toilet: Defeat Pianus.
-Rock hard: Defeat Zakum.
-Hero: Defeat Horntail.
-Cutey slayer: Defeat Pink been.
-Rookie: get your 1st job.
-Casual: get your 2nd job.
-Trainer: get your 3rd job.
-Expert: get your 4th job.
-Hardcore: Reach lv 200.
-Welcome!: Level up once.
-First in line: Get into a GM event.


Assasin branch achievements (only thought for these for now... I'm a hermit, after all :p):

-Shaolin: Finish off 1,000 monsters over level 50 by punching them.
-Stylist: Perform a "haircut attack" with avenger 250 times.
-Vampire: Recover a total of 1,000,000 hp using drain.
-Empty pockets: Spend a total of 1,000,000 mesos recharging stars.
-Gold digger: Make a monster drop Hwabis for you.

Anyone has more ideas? :p

KMS already has things like this. For example if you get the S rank in 5 PQs you get a medal. Or if you stay on for 3 hours a day for 27 days you can get a medal. There are some more, but I don't recall exactly what they are.

Get 1000 Fame within 30 days, Kill 100,000 monsters higher level than you are, then there's an NX donation thing. Not sure about how much. :/

I wouldn't mind some easier ones, even if they're less rewarding.

Yeah like people said Medals kind of cover that. Thought it might be nice to complete a whole list of obscure achievements like that and get some reward at the end.

Who needs a party?- Defeat a party quest boss with only you and the leader (or you being the leader and someone else) left.

AnhYeuEm- Join a guild

Nexon Gone Bankrupt- Go 100 days without cashing any NX cash

Party quest MASTA!!!- Beat every party quest (excluding those that you need NX to beat, such as the APQ)

Spartan Pit of Death- In Masteria:Mountain Cliffs have everyone in a party of six fall into the pit on the right side within five seconds of each other.

Guns N' Roses- Kill a monster as a gunslinger with a Valentine Rose. (3rd or 4th job variations also work)

Knockout Punch- Get the last hit on a boss as a Brawler. (3rd or 4th job variations also work).

Starry Eyed- Kill 1000 Evil Eyes as an Assassin. (3rd or 4th job variations also work)

This is why you can't pay off your mortgage- Use Meso Explosion 100 times

Heal Slave no more- Use Holy Arrow 1000 times

Zeus- Use lightning bolt 1500 times (hitting multiple monsters counts as one time)

Hephaestus- Use fire arrow 1500 times

You're no hero to me- As a fighter/crusader/hero, start a quest and don't finish it for 14 days. (A day will only count if you log in on that day)

Batman- Become a Dark Knight

Chivalry- As a page/white knight/paladin, finish twenty quests with females that give the quest.

Shopping is painful: Die in FM Entrance, channel 1

CPQ hacker: Smile while in the Monster Carnival

Mesos pl0x: Get max mesos

BUFF UP: Have at least 10 buffs on screen at once.

Portal exposer: Visit every Hidden Street map on Victoria

Willpower: Solo top right arm as a Paladin/Shadower.

Stand Strong: Finish off 100 monsters with power guard.

When I played WoW and Achievements came out, I did EVERYTHING lol. I went achievement crazy, that reminds me, MapleStory needs titles like WoW had for some achievements.

Titles like
-Bosshunter
-Loremaster
-The Undying
-Noob
-Billionaire

etc, yeah I stole some of those from WoW, but whatever xD


Also I should note that WoW's achievement system makes it so all achievements are possible with everyone, so most of the ones suggested in this thread wouldnt work, though not saying Maple's have to work that way =O

Priest friendly Warrior - As a Crusader, or a White Knight, always with the Cleric/Priest at Level 70+.
Master of all 2nd Job Warriors - Have a Fighter, Page, and Spearman over level 30.
Master of all 2nd Job Magicians - Have a Cleric, F/P Wizard, and I/L Wizard over level 30.
Master of all 2nd Job Bowmen - Have a Hunter, and Crossbowman over level 30.
Master of all 2nd Job Thieves - Have an Assassin, and Bandit over level 30.
Master of all 2nd Job Pirates - Have a Gunslinger, and Infighter over level 30.

Myth buster- In KPQ, kill the slimes after killing King Slime and get a scroll or equipment as a prize

Sticks and Stones may break my bones...- Collect 200 tree branches and 100 ores from any stump (Dark, Axe, Dark Axe, etc.)

...But words will never hurt me-Get defamed ten times in a day without defaming anyone else
