...This gives me hope for Megaman Glitter

We can hope all we want, but deep down inside you and I both know that all we're going to get is recolours.

Quint.

I know thats the joke, but quit looks just like megaman. Asking for a protoman or even Bass skin wouldn't be asking much IMO.

I'd say he looks more like Megaman mixed with Protoman and Quickman.

Sakurai Wrote:Pic of the day. The leg and arm positions of some characters will automatically be mirrored when facing left or right. Mario, for example, will have his chest shown in the foreground regardless of whether he's facing right or left. This was quite a tedious task, but thanks to it we can show the best features of each character even better.

At least bump the thread.. If you don't bump the thread no one will know you updated. Then the thread will look inactive. No one really cares about double posts.

Sakurai Wrote:Here's another example: in the previous games, you saw the back of Kirby's head when facing left. Now Kirby looks great from any angle.

not one for competitive, but did character position do anything for range in the previous games?

pixel positions; seeing your characters back
forward vs backwards pose

No, not at all. I can't see much competitive application for this. It's just one of those fine details that sakurai is all about this time around.

Not sure how I feel about that... Kinda nice to see a character's full design instead of just their front. Maybe he'll let the camera be moved a full 360 degrees while paused this time around?

Yeah, the old way seems more natural to me as well, but I'll probably be running around too much to care.

That doesn't seem to solve the issue that people in the smash community who are actually lobbying for a gamecube controller for wii U have. The entire point is for no input lag, and since this thing connects into the wii u nunchuck/classic controller where both of those things are wireless controllers, the question of input lag is still a very real concern.

And that was my second thought.
It doesn't solve the issue of input lag at all.

Do you (or any of the other competitive folks) think that input lag, or the possible presence of it will be enough to turn off people from ever trying the new smash?

No clue. Any number of things can happen. People develop a wired controller, people all get used to input lag and just deal with it, or it just flops as a game. Anything can happen.

Really excited about the Gamecube Wii U controller.

It's weird, I feel like I'm going to just keep maining Pit no matter what they announce, but I'm still excited to see if they announce anything new in June.

How incredibly f'ucking unlikely that would be considering one of their biggest news periods of the entire year is in june. Nope, there's no possible way we'll learn anything in an entire month.
