Just saw this. Should be interesting. I'm going to guess quite a few fans will have no idea who Miku is and some strange rumors/gossip will probably start. But i guess this should bring more interest from NA. This isn't the first time Gaga has done something with Japanese Idols.

I still don't understand how a pineappleing software package can be a music idol.
Especially Miku, one of the worse-sounding Vocaloids.

I was hoping I could have found that with an image of holo-Miku in it but I couldn't, and I suck badly at image editing so I just posted the words. :p

Here you go. (I used the bad template from here, and there were hundreds of miku holograms so I just picked one).

This is how it all starts. First, we lose touch with our own humanity by becoming addicted to technology. Next we idolize digital programs that are made to look human. Then we glamorize digital "sports" leagues, and make pseudo celebrities of these people. Next, robotics will be commercialized for consumer use in lieu of physical/manual labor. All the while we work to make them smarter, more "human-like," with more robust AI's. Then SKYNET.

THE SIGNS ARE CLEAR PEOPLE. WE ARE OF A DYING RACE, AND WE ARE OUR OWN PALE HORSEMEN.

Guys this has been a thing for like 5 years now. Are you also aware that their entire interest has gone into relationships with only avatars? Most of them probably go because they like the hologram technology and want to experience it themselves. It aint much different than the music artists who do lip sync and sh`it because some songs can't be sung well with that type of action

First we're dreaming of holograms, next we're trying to sleep with holograms, ultimately we'll be holograms.

This is fitting.

Also, that Crayon Pop song sounds like the theme song for a new Tomba game. Jesus.

....Well actually mute, they ARE sleeping with holograms. There's a hotel in Japan specifically for honeymoons with avatars. Google it.

I can't help but ask myself what went through that guy's mind right after they finished his lines in the ad?. Was he thinking about the money he expected to get or how Japan is so... different? :3

Fully aware. Also aware that's where I'll be for the next two years.
I WILL DO MY BEST TO SABOTAGE THE ROBOTS BEFORE THEY CAN RISE TO DOMINANCE.
