Gunslinger Build (Lv. 10-200)
blitzkrieg Wrote:I just read through the entire thread (should have done that before posting.. d'oh) and found something I'd like to comment on!

In one post, you said that Valkyries would probably be sniping from the top middle platform at Newties, but I think we'd be better off on the bottom middle platform adjacent to the Newties. That way, when the first one spawns, you can freeze or stun it, kill it with Triple Fire, and then snipe the second one until the first spawns again. The only reason that anyone goes to the top middle platform is because they can't take a hit or can't incapacitate them. Valkyries can do both. Tongue

Also, as a sidenote, if there's any information that I can get you as low 7x Valkyrie, I'd be more than happy to provide screenshots or videos of just about anything you'd like. Tongue (I'm out of ideas! lol)

Attacking speeds of Double/Triple Fire please? xP

Can't get Double Fire because once you put a point into Triple Fire the skill basically disappears forever. (Triple Fire adds on to Double Fire instead of being an active skill) If you'd like though, I can take a video of just spamming Triple Fire with no movement or something, lol.

Really? Well I'll make the change then. I was under the impression that the Jr. Newtie attacks immediately on sight, but I haven't been to Jr. Newties in ages anyways Tongue

Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind. Right now there isn't anything I can think of off the top of my head. Maybe some training videos? It's hard to find good Valkyrie videos. Yours are the best on Youtube Big Grin

Yeshpls. No youtube though, just upload an unedited one on Mediafire or something. <3 Moar quality.

And what the heck? Triple Fire's a passive skill? :f6:

Yea. Unlike L7 and Triple Throw, where they are two different skills, Triple Fire just makes Double Fire fire an extra bullet

That's just freaky. :f6:

However, it should mean they have the same firing speed. Big Grin

Should I make it against a monster or just firing into the air? :f6:

A good way to test it is to spam it in air like that Rapid Fire test video. You could have a set amount of bullets and then spam Triple Fire for like 30 seconds and see how many bullets are consumed.

I think you should get exactly 300 Bullets, or something divisible by three, as TF should use three bullets, then put Fraps on your attack key, so when you hold down attack, Fraps starts in an instant. Big Grin

Sorry it took so long, ran into just about every problem possible ~_~.. This was the best video I could get, although I started at 2300 bullets cause it's a peach to get down to 300 and ran out of MP before I could even get to 2000 bullets.. >: Also I think Fraps may have lagged my attack time a bit.. This might be better for me to check on my own. Tongue

Here's the video anyway: http://www.sendspace.com/file/tgan39

Yays! <3
Going to look at it now, unless you added a Zombie face (lol) in the video, I love you now. Heart

Well, it's late so many I'm just not thinking, but I counted seven frames, at 30 fps, between loosing bullets from one shot to loosing them from another. 7/30 is .23, which means 4.3 shots a second, and thus 257 a minute. That sounds... a little fast to me. ._.
On the other hand, when I used the bullets he used in the time he used them, I got 82 shots a minute, which is much, much slower than sins. .__.

I'ma go to sleep and look at this again tomarrow. XD

Still, thanks for the video. <3

Just tested by myself without the Fraps lag or anything and I use exactly 264 bullets per minute spamming Triple Fire. 88 shots per minute.

Edit: Now that I think about it, I think the main reason this seems so slow is because the attacking speed didn't change between Double Shot and Triple Fire, so it just added on another bullet without making it go any faster. Double Shot during second job is the crazy fast skill, while Triple Fire makes up for the slower speed with a lot of extra damage. Right now, with "average" equips, I can hit up to about 6.4k total damage (2.2k per bullet) in one Triple Fire attack, and the skill is only level 10.

If Double Shot is "the crazy fast" skill, why wouldn't Triple Fire be? o_O

Ohsnap, that's smexy damage. o_o
You could probably pull off 9k~10k by level 80, with a good gun. (semi-random guess on gun attack), which is epicly sexy. Heart

Because Triple Fire just adds on another bullet, so casting it takes 50% as long as Double Shot.

It slows it down? :[

It would make sense logically to take a bit longer to fire 3 shots, but when has Maple ever been logical?

When has anyone ever shot 3 bullets with a gun in 1 second? (at least not that i know of)

But Gunslingers look just as fun as my ranger... After I make a decent Infighter, i may make a gunslinger as my main for a bit...the only reason not making it first is i need a break from ranged people...And letting the market flood with better scrolled equips/guns/bullets too =P

Thanks for the video Big Grin

A little disappointing that it's slower than Lucky 7 but at least it's still a fast skill nonetheless. Your damage is really impressive BTW. It certainly motivates me Biggrin

Isn't gaviote the skill where you summon a gull that drops a bomb on a mobs head? =P

Yes.

If you don't mind, could you do a similar speed test for Invisible Shot? I'm curious about its speed.

1 second is longer than you think
