Not happening. Even if transformed 100% of the time, Buccaneers can't match the strength of a Hero, DrK, or any ranged class (on bosses). Comparing Demolition to Cannon isn't even fair. Demolition barely outdamages Rapid Fire.

Buccaneers have it similar to NLs. Their damage is very mediocre without SE and their intrinsic crit skill (Stun Mastery).

Sure brandish is strong but sorry if I don't see how you guys say brandish outdmgs demolition... Seiishiko was hittin over 20ks with unmaxed demo in his video. His apple'd damage almost brought it over 30k.

Putting the fact that he's funded out the ass and probably (and by probably i mean 96% sure) using apples, demo is too slow for it to out damage brandish.

You can use Brandish over 3 times (3 times exactly with a slow (7) weapon, nearly 4 times with a fast (4) weapon) in the time it takes to Demolition once. Base damage for Heroes is a good 20% or so higher, usually. I don't see how Demo could be stronger.

With SI 11, Demo takes 1.8 seconds to cast. I don't think you can do 4 Brandishes in 1.8 seconds.

It takes 2.34. Where the hell did you get 1.8?

Also, SI 11 doesn't do anything beyond the effects of SI 1 for the Buccaneer.

To DrRusty: So I'm so confused at what I should do with the whole Energy Blast 21, Drain 11, or Shockwave 21 situation. Every second post you are bashing it and praising it in another. What do I do?! Halp Sad

Well, before I had dragon strike at a good level, all I could see was the sped up shockwave with wind booster. Now that dragon strike is higher than lvl 1, shockwave seems useless yet again. Now with the KMST updates, dragon strike is sped up AND can be used while transformed. So.... shockwave is good in 3rd job and 3rd job only basically.

I like my max drain/blast and I wouldnt have it any other way.

Screw shockwave for me then.

I want to know how fast/delay shortened these skills are now though. Dragon strike didn't even seem to have any delay at all. Maybe they reduced the animation?

Probably. Dragon Strike's long animation made up for the delay.

So would that mean Blast is only good in 3rd job too in the same way as shockwave? If so, I'll go Drain and Shockwave then.

Blast is still useful. It's faster for killing weak left over mobs.
