2x EXP & Drop Event: 1/31

No.

Back before RED patch, we had several Hot Days that gave out RED tickets.
After RED came, it was possible to redeem these tickets for RED coins.
That had to be done before January 15th, though. After that, Cassandra stopped trading them. (It was announced ahead of time that that was the last date, but apparently not everyone remembered to do it on time).

The end-date was announced ahead of time, so it's simply too bad if they missed it.

I still have Black Friday coins and a bunch of other coins from past events. Should I ask them to bring back the Justice or Unleashed shops because I still have coins left? Events just don't work like that.

Those updates ended though, RED is still ongoing. If RED had finished when Beast Tamer was released (which I still think was the original intention), then this would be a fair remark, but RED still has one patch remaining, and while it is still current, it makes sense that tickets used to exchange currency for the coin shop should still be exchangeable.

Ah true, that's a good point.

I forgot RED was still ongoing.

The original RED timeline was such that the shop would be open until January 31st but the ticket exchange would stop at January 15.
So the exchange wasn't meant to be allowed through the end of RED anyway.

The only justified reason I can think of for not exchanging on time is the horrible lag in Event Hall, making it impossible for some people to approach Cassandra. Unfortunately, that lag isn't any better now, so an extension wouldn't help.
Would be nice if a ticket exchange option were added to the RED shop itself, much like the New Year's Bunny Merchant could convert Yut Coins to Kite Coins and vice versa. Then people could do it at Three Doors instead of Event Hall.

They gave you like 6 weeks did they not? I don't see the point of an extension now.

imo instead of making cassandra exchangeable again, just change everyone's red tickets into red coins next server check or patch. Of course, nexon must inform this early.

Were you not able to play for the 5 weeks the event was active?

I feel like the suggestion to bring back the RED Ticket exchange was only brought to attention because someone just claimed a recent Hot Time or expiring December Fun and noticed there were RED Tickets still on the mule. If not for that, they would have gone unnoticed and uncared for. I don't advocate having so many mules that one cannot keep track of them, from a fairness argument, so I can't say that I would support bringing something back that there was ample time for; especially when there are plenty of one-time events that I have missed. Chocolate Stick Weekend and Time Traveler are a few that come to mind.

Based on my Alliance and Megaphones I feel people are reading less and less, whether it be quest text or Patch Notes; reward those who take the time to read. Also, stop spoonfeeding quest answers to your Guildies/BL/Alliance Members/etc. Sorry (slightly) for the reading elitist mini-rant.

I absolutely love the effort maplestory does for their patch notes.

i was coin-counting, trying to maximize my purchases since the shop does not resupply.
the RED shop outlast the ticket-exchange, and i simply overlooked the end date.
as for the mule issue, i still have tickets on my main.
I didn't mind so much last month, but nexon extended the coin shop until the end of march.
surely something can be done by then. Its not just me; there were a lot of players asking for this too.

Uh, so we didn't people turn them in before and just hold onto the coins? Was there a limit to how many you could exchange or coins you could hold? Would it not have been easier to exchange them at at the start of the event?

To be fair, it was quite tedious to go to storage and turn in tickets 4 at a time.

Yes, I'm sure it took at lot of effort to take advantage of Nexon's shitty as usual math Rolleyes

Because the tickets were account-tradeable while the coins are not. So one would rather keep the tickets as tickets until one knows which character one wants the coins on.

also, the better item in coin shop were also account tradeable

there's like seven weeks until the extension ends, it's not an unreasonable request.

I don't think it should really take 5+ weeks to figure that out honestly.
