Beast Tamer discussion thread

Notes are up surprisingly early.

Of note, they renamed Flame Fart to Majestic Trumpet. ¯\_(ツWink_/¯

Also that, woah. :f6:

That's essentially eight free cubes and two free protection scrolls per day for 13 days straight.

That's even funnier given Flame Fart's animation. hahahaha.

And although I'm a little sad the EXP bonus doesn't stack with Holy Symbol, I'm not deterred. I'll still be maining this class! I think I'm positive I'm maxing Snow Leopard though. It's just simply too good not to max as far as grinding goes.

I think I'll just make a straight up all Cat build and forget the other 3 almost entirely.

I'm wondering how viable it will be to get 50k points in a day, let alone 100k...

Well, think positively. It may be Nexon, but they've been mysteriously generous in the past.

Hope they drop like medals of honor. You'd still need a enormous amount. anywhere between 500-1k.

I'm just glad they aren't use items like Medal of Honour. That would suck.

500-10k*

10x 10,000 = 100,000

So basically, save my ToT quests for when this event starts.

Good to know.

No but seriously, I probably shouldn't have mentioned I play "MapleStory" while being in army, because now they're gonna search it in youtube and... and... Eek

You fool only one person on base know I play maple and he isnt in my command nor does he give a dam. Nor will he tell

So the SP distribution between skills has been cleared up. Apparently each skill requires a certain amount of points before it can be unlocked. For example:
Quote:Well Fed: Level Required: 19: Required Bear Skill Points: 15: At Master Level: Passive Effect: Max HP: +30%, INT: +40. Master Level: 10
So in order to unlock Well Fed, you would need 15 SP distributed into your Bear Guardian, not just one skill. I like it.

Quote:Bear Assault: Level Required: 90: Required Bear Skill Points: 140: At Master Level: Active Effect: MP Cost: 62, Damage: +35%, Critical Rate: +17%, Min Critical Damage: +10%, Max Enemies Hit by Any Skill: 1, Duration: 60 sec, Cooldown: 120 sec. Passive Effect: Max HP/MP: +20%, Weapon/Magic DEF: +100%, Ignore DEF: +20%. Master Level: 20

It's... weird how they packed so much into one skill.

The cooldown being longer than the duration miffs me a bit, but for what you're getting, it's passable.

It looks like a weaker Battle Rage, given the passives.

Also I was looking through the skills... A lot of Leopard's skills got miniature cooldowns added to them, ranging from 2-5 seconds. Really a turnoff, because I was wanting to max Snow Leopard over cat. It's not that bad, but I was really looking forward to spamming Bermuda, but with a 2 second cooldown, it'll bother me. I'll still probably do it, because it's only 2 seconds after all, and it's reallyyyy good... I'm just disappointed at all of the last second nerfs on the class.

I haven't been following this thread so this might already been answered.
Are we allowed to max all animals skills to max or do we have to leave one (or more) unmaxed?
This is base on Lv210.

Well, yes and no.

Tamer has a built-in system where she can receive prizes as she levels up, and if you're lucky enough, one of the prizes is a potion that gives 11(?) SP. If you're lucky enough to get these potions, you can probably max at least three trees.

However, you need around 1160 SP to max absolutely everything, so it's very unlikely that that'll happen.

 Ohithere

I can maybe answer any preliminary questions before GMS opens up, if anyone has any.

JP Names :

Cat : アル (aru)
Big White Cat : ライ (rai)
Bear : ポポ (Mr. Popo)
Purple Hawk Guy : エカ (Eka)

Dat music doe.

Oh, cool. I've never seen this before (I probably just haven't been keeping up with any Beast Tamer info at all).

 Spoiler

Also confirming that SP pools across all 'modes' are linked. Sad

Thanks!
I guess I will just do the old 1 points into everything unless it is required for another skill until I'm somewhere near 200, then decide.

I wonder how would that skill tree look like if you obtained new common skills like pet skills or Warrior State Manifesto.
