Yeah, as a warrior Hypers appear to just be the same thing in different skin.
Hayato: fullscreen attack with 8 second cooldown, 30 second attack buff with 90 second cooldown, 1 minute 10% buff with 2 minute cooldown.
Dark Knight: fullscreen attack with 8 second cooldown, 30 second attack buff with 90 second cooldown, 1 minute 10% buff with 2 minute cooldown.
Hero: fullscreen attack with... 8 second cooldown. 30 sescond attack buff with 90 second cooldown. 1 minute 10% buff with 2 minute cooldown.
Paladin: fullscreen attack ... guess how long it has a cooldown for. 30 second invincibility with 90 second cooldown. 1 minute 10% buff with 2 minute cooldown.

It's not exactly a wide spread.

Actually, Hero's attack has a 30 second cooldown, Paly's attack has a 120 second cooldown (by virtue of being bind), and Paly's buff has a 5 minute cooldown. Hayato's hypers are clones of Thousand Sword from DA and Cry Valhalla from Hero, though. I wouldn't compare level 200 Hypers as they're all the same by design (with the exception of Kaiser, AB, and Xenon, and probably Beast Tamer since she currently lacks one).

Also, Hero's "full screen attack" is nothing of the sort. It's got a much shorter range than Raging Blow or Shout.

The cooldowns are the same. The damage on Dark Synthesis and Wrath of Enreal are the same, however Wrath of Enreal hits two more mobs and only hits in front of you, while Dark Synthesis has a much larger vertical range and hits all around. Death Star hits quite a bit less than either of the other two, has less hits (but only because to have the same number of hits would be severely limiting given that Night Lords have Shadow Partner and there's a 15 hit cap), and has a smaller vertical range than Dark Synthesis.

I wouldn't say they're exactly the same, but I wouldn't exactly call them wildly different, either. I think it's probably wiser not to read too much into how similar attacks can be, given that the main avenues of differentiation employed by the game are damage %, number of hits, number of mobs hit, range, and animation.

Now I got it, this should be the exact image if Beast Tamer comes without the DB/Cannoneer buff.

So in layman's terms: Nexon's math sucks?

I actually never kept track of this stuff myself, considering it wasn't like I'd actually be deciding one over the other in almost any scenario. If I got one I'd be happy, and I definitely would never exchange one for the other because I almost never buy NX.

Ruin3d confirmed that the Cannoneer and DB revamp will not be included in the Beast Tamer patch:

Uh, well, I'm not so certain about that.

Given that the company we're dealing with is Nexon, the fact that the upcoming patch is called the "Beast Tamer Update" and not explicitly RED Part 3 means that they'll probably give us the third part of RED as a fourth update some time in the future.

I'm not sure when that'll be exactly given the fact that the RED events are mostly scheduled to end at the end of the month, so...

Has the date of Beast Tamer's patch been formally announced by NexonNA?

Yeah, it was confirmed in the Update Highlights, and it says it on the main page. It's definitely the 22nd.

I think Nexon could have said something sooner regarding the revamps not being in this patch. I personally don't mind, but I know a lot of people were looking forward to the revamp (as small as it is) and still had hope it would be in this patch.
Announcing that so close to the patch date wasn't ideal. That being said, i'm glad they announced it early at all, rather than letting people being disappointed on the day.

Er, I wasn't explicitly saying that the Beast Tamer patch was "RED Part 3" but rather it's the third patch to happen since (and including) the first RED patch.
