Forgive me if it has already been answered or if no one knows but can someone answer the question that I posted above ^?

Also since people have said it looks like you can only max out 2 Guardians, how does the SP assessment work? Is it similar to Zeros where the Guardians don't share SP or do you need to choose between increasing the level of a Bobo skill versus a Rye skill at say Lv. 15 (Since you unlock a Rye skill at Lv. 15 but have 2 Bobo skills available at that lvl)
Thanks!

You get normal SP as you level up as far as I know, but you also can get a potion every X amount of levels that can give you additionally SP. The Guardians do share SP so you have to choose which ones you want to spec into.

I can only hope you can essentially dip into the specs you don't want to specialize for key abilities, such as getting Eagle's ability to summon the whole party to your location and not getting anything else Eagle oriented. I can't see myself getting any of the other Eagle skills unless I already maxed out what I want in my more desired Guardian specs.

You can't. You have to get previous skills before you can get deep skills, unfortunately. At least, to my understanding of what other people said, that is true. I really wish you could, though... It'd make this whole not knowing which animal to get ordeal MUCH simpler.

Okay thanks so much for clearing this up! Seems a little reasonable with the huge variety of skills and gameplay.

The bolded part would be stupid. How would you play a class that only has a chance to receive SP? The potions are to provide extra SP. As far as I know, they do not share SP.

I hope the boxes not giving SP sometimes (or random SP, or whatever it is that's with those boxes) is a bug, or otherwise going to be changed. It'd be pretty fu'cking retarded if bad luck could potentially cause you to have over 100 SP lower than someone else. If that's intentional, it's like Nexon wants to get sht.

This is what I was thinking,
People would have more SP (thus more of an advantage) based solely on luck? Now how is that a fair aspect to the class/game?...

This is Maplestory. To be fair, scrolling and cubing is based of luck, and it is a large part of the game. Getting more SP based on luck is not fair at all. But the potions seemed to be glitched and not working correctly in Tespia. It could also be an event, so who knows?

The difference between cubes and these boxes is that you can infinitely retry for potential you want, but you only get a certain number of boxes by earlier accounts.

You're probably right though, it's likely a bug. Maybe that's why the JMS release was postponed, to make sure that's fixed before it screws people over.

Meanwhile and to do not derail the topic.

Mmm... I wonder how much boss dmg the player can get at max, considering that the maplers will leave their Link characters at 120.

As for my Aran (an example) I have this:
- Kanna Boss dmg: 3%
- DA Boss dmg: 3%
- Demon Slayer Link Skill: 15%
- Aran's regained Memory Skill: 5%
- Card S class set x3: 9%
- Boss dmg skill: 20%

And giving the ammount of: 15 + 10 + 9 + 6 + 20%= 56%

But I wonder if a normal player can get up to that ammount of boss dmg without using cubes.

Umm... Well i'll be at 100% boss damage without using potentials after i get beast tamer's link skill on my buccaneer.

For my bucc, I'm using:
-Kanna boss damage card: boss dmg 3%+
-DA boss damage card: boss dmg 3%+
-Demon slayer level 2 link skill: boss dmg 15%+
-Character card S rank x3: 9%+
-Level 150 hyper skill passive: boss dmg 20%+
-6th set empress effect: boss damage 30%+
-Beast tamer link skill: boss dmg 20%+

That should be: 3% + 3% + 15% + 9% + 20% + 30% + 20% = 100% boss damage ^.^

Also... I can't believe i'm posting this but...

For anyone who wanted the full image of that beast tamer photo... >_<

Not to derail the thread of course.

Spadow do we know if the Guardians' skills require anything besides a specific level of your character? Like does a previous skill need to be at a certain level before you can put SP into a skill?

You need to mention him like Spadow;. I don't know myself, but if it is anything like Zero they would have a required level the previous skill must be. That my be max in some cases but it doesn't have to be for all skills. I don't know though, so i guess we will have to wait and see. Im guessing most of our questions will be answered in 3 days if it really does come out on the 15th.
