I hope at least Dedede. He was my favorite heavy character. I usually don't use heavies, I usually suck with them, but with Dedede, I could kick some major ass.

Meta Knight better get revamped or something, because he's the only character that was ever banned from official tournament play to my knowledge. That's a huge sign of serious balance issues.

Still, getting banned at all in any major tournament is a huge sign of problems, considering he's the only one that ever has been. He's also on his own tier for tier charts...

If you ask anyone in the competitive scene, ice climbers are better (read: worse) than meta knight. They f'ucking DESTROY him, along with the entire rest of the cast.

Yeah i'll bet they will take over the SS tier and metaknight will be dropped into S tier where ice climbers currently are. The only reason ICs haven't been banned from tourny yet is because they've only been dominating since this year vs mk's few year reign.

Of course that would mean that a majority of top 8 at apex 2014 are ICs and the rest MKs which can easily happen.

LOL well that's not a very promising first sentence given brawl. I shall keep reading regardless.

Edit: Well yeah, none of that was very enlightening. I know that the competitive scene doesn't exactly care about a character's performance in teams or free for alls, but it's nice that he points out that this is an aspect of balance because people still tend to ignore it. There hasn't been a single case where a character sees a higher placing in tier lists because of their stellar performance in teams tournaments vs their poor performance in singles. Seems like he focuses on bowser a lot in this game. Also the comment on falcon punch was pretty funny. I never really considered it to be very good in any situation, free for all nor teams. It has seen some very sparce use in tourny though so his comments are accurate.

Yeah, I should just take anything Sakurai says about balancing with a grain of salt until he makes Yoshi not tremendously terrible

The sad thing was that he really didn't need much at all to make him great seeing what they did to him in project melee.
