EDIT: Okay, turns out I understand more when I google-translated back his words.

Don't remind me about Backstroke of the West....

Well, I guess I'm one of the few that like having to make decisions on which beasts to put skills into. Reminds me sort of like other MMOs, DnF to be exact. I see a good mix for this class, bossing builds vs hybrid builds vs support builds. This'll probably never hit kMS, so I'll probably end up hitting up gMS to do a support version of this class. Seems very promising, but I still don't understand a lot of it.

Bear definitely looks the best for bossing, but cat looked promising as well.

It's still in Tespia, it could be placeholder. I mean, they reused a LOT of sounds from what it seems. When the wolves died, you hear snail death sounds. When the bird showed up, Pink Bean's battle music played. They will probably change when it goes live.

Do we know whether or not it's gender locked yet?

It's not gender locked. You can be male or female.

I'm really interested to see what types of builds people come up with. I think there will probably be two main builds: Offensive and Supportive. It's exciting to see a class that could potentially be played in different ways, similar to how F/P mages used to be back in the day (you're either poison or fire).

I think both supportive and offensive beast tamers will offer a lot to parties, and both will be viable options and used in different situations. I think support BTs will be more powerful than offensive ones, though, because the amount of supportive capabilities in their kit is just astronomical.

I would be ok with this if it didn't require rare events or a ridiculous amount of real money to respec your skills. If someone puts even a single point in the wrong skill, they are pineappleed, unlike other games where doing so might cost you a meager amount of in-game currency.

And it means you need a specific build in mind as you level up your character, which takes the fun out of experimenting with different skills, since there are some you will never touch. And for people that don't know that you can't max all the skills (because judging from the constant threads on basilmarket, there are a lot of people who don't know how to google search in the maple community) they could end up screwing up their build.

I've must say i'm a little bit disapointed that the beast tammer is from Dawnveil, i've expected this whole area to be high lvl land... and if it's starter job area it's need to be low lvl

I really don't understand the logic of this, but I think we'll see how Beast Tamer ties into Dawnveil when her story is released in better detail. From what we can already tell, Grosso Polpo is in the storyline, so we'll see!

Not liking this gameplay though, he doesnt even use another animal.

EDIT: More skills shown here, looks pretty cool tbh
ESPECIALLY THE BEAR, JESUS

Magnus video seemed extremely awkward, it looks like the Jaguar moves way too much to be viable at bossing, not sure why they didn't show a different animal. I imagine the Bear is probably the best for 1v1? The Dimensional Invade video was a lot better though, seems like Beast Tamer is great at mobbing.

Since the new area has a port, i'd imagine that the area is rather secluded, hence the low level enemies, and the port is used to travel to Maple World, but you get attacked by Grosso Polpo on the way and get shipwrecked.

What?! You don't like any of the other skills? I have problems finding what skills I don't like. Their skill that summons their party members to their map is one of them that I'm absolutely in love with. They have so much utility!

Well...
Yea... they are all very nicely animated and all, but the bear skills are the only ones that attract me into playing this.
The other stuff is so... idk...
It just doesn't attract me at all. :\

Eagle Form seems to be mostly utility, focusing around convenience and travel. which is.. nice, but isn't helpful in combat, and none of it's skills seem worth wasting SP on that could be better spent in the other 3, far more combat ready forms.
