[Complete] Unscheduled Server Maintenance - January 1, 2014

Welp, Nexon has pretty much fucked their game now. Normally i'd have agreed with one of the previous posters and said nexon could delete the items in the next SC (which they will PROBABLY fail at anyway, but regardless) however, all the duped mesos are pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to do anything about, due to being untraceable (and being a part of the market anyway)

Well, my account is intact. Granted, I didn't even log in during the 30th or 31st IIRC (messed up the attendance and cbb to do those events anymore).

Oh, and I haven't entered the FM for months now. I'm just depressed that when I finally get some good stuff to sell (no boom AEEs), there's a pineappleton of dupe hacks released and... ah screw it.

Well in gazed the problem is the mesos duped, my guild master saw itens sold for a lot just to hackers ''clean'' the mesos duped, not like your servers that got hackers that duped other things after mesos.

Pretty sure they can still ban people that were hellbanned. There was a poster on this site before that was hellbanned and ultimately got permanently banned for possibly receiving 30 billion in a trade, all which were likely exploited.

Rollback twice within 30 days or just investigate further? Nexon's in a really tough place right now and I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt in this one. It's a new year; we'll see if they can work through this.

Problem is that it's been out for too long to be dealt with properly. They are not going to rollback several days completely [nexon's record was what, 28 hours] However hellbanning and slowly deleting isnt going to work, too much damage has spread everywhere.

Plus there's a new exploit this week coming out.

Man I kinda feel sorry for the person who has to decide what to do now. I would do a rollback but I would be in such a tough place to make a final decision.

What a rough holiday for Nexon.

1. FM still has duped stuff
2. Random ppl got hellbanned
3. Lagging badly and lost 4 yut turns due to dcing right when entering the Yut map.
4. There was some hacker in Yut Lobby constantly dying and respawning...
5. Apparently there's a Yut coin exploit/hack
6. Rumours about another dupe being released

Going to army in 3 days, so I'm like meh... I wonder if there'll be another "dead period" after RED like there was before it. I mean... holidays ending and all that but now there's all this hack pomegranade too.

They're not going to be able to deal with it properly. That's a thing you have to make peace with at this point. But let them do their work. With a crisis of this scale, they HAVE to work to fix this. And that's what I believe they're doing/going to do.

I can still do my daily Commerci runs and do attendance even though I'm hellbanned, so I'm glad for that. Now, if I get banned just for having a shop up that day, I will be mad. But for now I'm pretty sure this'll pass.

Not sure if it's safe to buy anything from the FM now. Do you think buying nebs now would risk my account in getting banned?

Error Code 38 lockout on my (and my brother's) main and hellbanned on one merchant mule, seems about right. Inaccessibility to the game should not only be limited to only one aspect of game. If I could find a buyer willing to offer, what I deem fair value, for both my accounts I would probably sell at this point.

Notice how I said "one merchant mule"? That is because I have two and in an interesting spin on things, the main mule that was banned wasn't the breadwinner these past 36~48 hours while the shops were open; they were both closed at around 12:00PST yesterday. The secondary mule managed to sell items totaling in excess of 6.3B while the main mule sold less than 398M. I sure am curious how Nexon chooses their targets.

I'm guessing I got my hellban for the 9 No Booms that I've had sitting in my storage. I swear if they touch those I am going to kill someone.

What's wrong with making it clear how unhappy you are and the potential consequences of that unhappiness? Maybe some people will be upset about a rollback, but if the duped items are not removed, many legit people who have spent $$ (instead of buying NX with mesos) on this game will quit, considering their equips just lost maybe 90% of their value. Furthermore, unless Nexon removes the duped items SOON, they're allowing "legits" to buy cheap duped goods and anyone who doesn't falls behind, which really shouldn't be the message that they send.

Hmm, trying to figure out why I would be hellbaned.

I sold my rare alien frag helm for 3 bil to an alliance member.

Then bought a 2.5 bil chaos von bon helm from frank that has been sitting in his shop for over a month or two.

Oh and I sold a sweetwater shining rod for 300 mil. but the name seemed to check out.

Bought a couple of services [epic pot scrolls, gold stamps] from a known alliance member.

Hmm guess I guess I sold an overpriced A junk neb for 155 mil to someone named weird in my shop. Guess that could be it?....

So 155 mil got my account hellbanned huh...Oh well sucks. Maybe I'll go work on my zero alts and get them to 180 for the 500 coins while i see where this goes. After I spend 3 hours at this frustrating yut minigame [seriously the RNG fucking hates me on this..]
