Server Rollback

*just woke up and game is still down + saw this rollback announcement.

Really though, Nexon will not get through this alive if they don't compensate people. Personally I'm only worried about my sengoku coins (need that 1 totem), 1 meso marriage and attendances but many people lost way more than that. It's always easy to say something is a good choice, if it doesn't happen to concern you.

I think the addicts will keep playing even with no compensation (and might even swallow no free attendances, although Waltzing said those would be given), but all the new and returning people that RED pulled in will likely leave in disgust after this unless given massive bribes compensation.
We'll just have to wait and see.

...and though it doesn't automatically fix the items sold prior to 8:00 PM Pacific, hopefully it satisfies people who trained during 2x earlier in the day.

I was thinking 'bout that too. I'm pretty sure those hackers smega "S > 500mil nebs, etc" way before 8:00 pm. I recall it was around 6-7 pm. 8:00 pm was when they deflated their stuff to 200mil... by then, they'd already sold well over 5k of nebs, no boom's, unique scrolls, etc in that 2 hr time-frame.

Not sure they could, technically. I don't know how often they take database snapshots ("savepoints").

Na, was just looking for more straight arrows, like "If you bought a few scrolls and Nebs, you are toast." How else would we get to enjoy such sweet agony from idiots? At least we had a guy in another thread feigning ignorance. I can live off of that for a while.

This thread regarding the exploit began at 3:34. Now, of course the exploit wasn't as bad at that time, but given its efficiency, the people that were abusing it probably stockpiled innumerable consumables and expensive items like Superior Gollux Pendants, Tyrants, LGRs, and others.

I'm extremely concerned about what Nexon's going to do with all of those items and everything else leading up to before the rollback, which resets the game to 5 hours before that thread was even made. Can they really contain this with hell/perma bans? I don't know....

This doesn't sound good. My friend traded me a few boss nebs before I knew anything. Once I found out I got rid of them all. Now I'm worried..

I was falsely banned back in 2007 that's it.

Around 11pm I saw some very-enhanced items (a couple 10 star Fafnir items in short order, lol - they had identical watk/matk and different int/luk), but I never saw S> nebs/enhancements smegas on Bera, and I was hanging out on the game til maybe 2am.

I imagine people who hit the FM caught wind of it earlier, but the smegas vary a lot by server.


I knew something was up cause of the SP thread about 15 star items but that's not a great predictor for hacks getting public release and needing a rollback.
