Nexon's new anti-hacker tool!

Whoot! I love Nexon for the new tool they gave us - the Maplemas Party Potion! If there is a trouble-making hacker in your map, simply transform them into something else! If they are botting, they will be unable to do anything for an entire hour! Yay!

-Note- When used, the potion prompts the user to enter a player's name. If the player is on the user's map, they will be transformed.

-Nexon, despite their best efforts, actually did something useful in the fight against hackers! Yay!-

Will be testing this method eventually to see how well it works. Because the potions don't expire, I will be stocking up on them after I get my chair (will buy as many as I can get from Santa). Any further testing from other SP members is welcome


After attempting in some locations, it appears "you may only use in town." Damn.

Party transformation potion? If they're botting, wouldn't it be tough having them click "ok" to be in your party? O_o

Erm...in the december patch, Santa gives rewards for turning in Rascal snowpieces. For 10 pieces and 150 mesos, he gives a party transform potion. This potion transforms the target into a one of many things (yeti, baby dragon, etc). While transformed, the target cannot attack. Can only un-transform by right-clicking the transformation effect icon.

Party transformation potion? If they're botting, wouldn't it be tough having them click "ok" to be in your party? O_o

It works on anyone in your map. No idea why it has party in its name.

It's a good idea, but if a monster hits you, even if it is a miss (like god-mode), it will untransform you. D;

Most hackers don't even register to monsters as hittable or missable from what I see.

What really happens [since some info is here is incorrect].

When you use the Maplemas party potion, it brings up a box on your screen to enter an IGN. If that IGN is on the map [not sure if they have to be in view of you], then they get transformed [you can't enter your own name though].

The transformation only lasts 1 hr. You cannot get out of the transformation unless you take damage. If a monster misses you, you're still transformed.

^The above rule applies to all transformations except the mansion girl which has a problem with it where you cannot click the character and literally, you "don't exist" to the game. You gain godmode, no one can right/left click you, etc. They can just see you and hear what you say.

Too bad that it doesn't work outside of towns. That would be awesome.

You can cancel it by right clicking on the effect icon.

It IS helpful fighting off people botting under you rfm store though >

You can only use them in a non-training area? Aw pineapple, there goes my plans.

You may not be able to transform botting hackers, but I am pretty sure that you cannot setup a store while you're transformed. Just go transform FM botters? lol
