3rd and 4th job skill question
#1
Well I been trying to plan out my build for 3rd job and 4th job i was following the guide for the most part but i got to decide between maxing flamethrower and not maxing it, so far I think the pros outweigh the cons at any lvl because

1) to my knowledge gaviota isn't used in 4th job is it? so lvl 15 is fine
2) ice splitter at 26 hits 6 targets, I'm not too sure but is this even used to kill anything? or just for its freeze?

so you only really lose out on 4 points in ice splitter and 15 on gaviota but get a maxed fire skill and a few more training options early on plus a skill that's useful for killing mobs of monsters or if we ever get fire weak stuff later

now cons are rather obvious

having to carry blaze capsules takes up some space and elemental booster doesn't really get maxed till late 4th job i think and by then you have cannon and torpedo

what are your opinions on this? I know priests sometimes opt to only get lvl 15 dragon to max door and maybe some doom which in the long run is kinda the same thing i guess especially if gaviota isn't used in 4th job at all.

1) Yes, Gaviotas is not that helpful in my watching of videos...
2) It's only used to freeze.

Eh, if I still continued my Gunslinger, I would have maxed Flame Burner. Only, it is kind of useless in 4th job.

It's not only used to freeze. You switch the two skills (FT -> IS -> FT -> IS etc etc) so you use them much faster. IS does great damage with amp regardless of elemental neutrality. o.o

Amplification gets maxed however soon YOU want it to be. I personally would max it before torpedo because it boosts FT+IS' damage insanely and makes the freeze longer, along with it's many many other advantages. It doesn't have to be maxed after at all.

Capsules aren't much of a problem because you can easily hunt for them yourself. You only need 1 or 2 sets anyway, because if you're going to mob with the two you're going to be using them constantly. If you're going to mob with them in normal cannon training, you'll only need 1 set because you'll do it much less than at himes for example.

Ive been hearing this alot: need lv26 Ice Splitter to hit 6 monsters, but lv 25 says it hits 6monsters. Was this changed from other versions or is the skill description wrong?

Well, if you have 25 Ice Splitter, what are you going to put the extra point on?

It's always been like that.

yeah the 26 for 6 monsters was because if you get 15 gaviota and 25 splitter you got 1 point left over so might aswell put it in splitter
