Constellations in Maple
#1
Whats up with constellations and Maple? Its full of 'em. In MSEA, at least.

World names:
Aquila (Eagle)
Bootes (Human)
Cassiopeia (Queen)
Delphinus (Dolphin)
Eridanus (River)
Fornax (Furnace)

Cygnus (Swan)

These REALLY exist. I took out my star chart last night and managed to spot Bootes and Cassiopeia Wink Its fun, go try it out.

Never noticed that. Unlike our random names, these seem to have a theme, and an interesting theme at thatBiggrin

Um...SEA decided to name their servers after constellations and in alphabetical order? Not much strange about that....Cygnus was probably a random name.

Cygnus the Swan is a constellation too. It just doesn't fit the alphabetical sequence.

That's because it's not a SEA server...sorry if I was unclear, I assumed you'd know Cygnus would refer to Knights of Cygnus.

Our names aren't random.
Well, Khaini isn't.

MSEA names their servers after Constellations.

GMS? We just translate ours from KMS Server names. F3.

I prefer the theory that we name ourselves after Chewing tobacco and trucks.

Translate? They're originally English, aren't they?

If it's English then define it.

I meant that they used the English alphabet.

I think it's just an English translation of the sound.

I would imagine it to be the other way around, since Korean doesn't have certain syllables that some world names have. Like in Japanese, when they use the closest sounding syllables.

EDIT: I found that Elnido shares the name of a resort in the Philippines. Tongue
More stuff:
Galicia is a city in Spain.
Plana is the plural of the word Planum in Latin.
Broa is a kind of Corn Bread.
A Zenith is a point directly above a certain object.
Meriel means "Shining Sea" in Gaelic.
Calluna is a kind of flower.
A Culverin is a type of firearm.
Medere seems to be some sort of... city?
Khadia is a type of plant.
Bera was the king of Sodom. Other Beras were the count of Barcelona, and are a town in Spain, and a town in Malaysia.

they should make a server called "Kawaii". it would crash on the first day by the massive amounts of people opening characters there.

IIRC, Windia is the name of a ship. I saw a picture a long time ago on Basil. :X

And I wish we had some kind of guide for creating the names. Besides, there's tons of constellations. They'd never run out. :X
