I like short hair on girls, I'm just not too fond of that particular style, mainly because I've seen too many guys use similar.

The long is too... generic, I guess. "Ho hum, another Asian with long straight dark hair." Also, and it might just be the lighting, the way you have it combed obscures too much of your face, and I bet you're always having to push it out of your eyes. In fact, short hair is much more convenient in many ways.

But, I'm a woman, so what do I know? The guys seem to prefer you long-haired.

Long hair is cute, but you could cut it right above/below the shoulders, and work on the bangs.

Maybe just get it restyled, and play with the length; you can always go google long hairstyles and maybe you'll see something you'd like to do with your hair.

If you absolutely hate it, then do what you want with it, as I said before I just tend to prefer longer hair.

First time I look your hairstyle and actual picture, it reminds me about my friend in my country. I missed her and I wish that I can meet her again.

Regarding the hairstyle, I prefer long hair though if I were you. Same as what @icephoenix21 said, maybe a bit restyle will do or tie the hair like a ponytail at back. Japanese style high school student, maybe.
