Versalmas/Maplemas Exchanges

With this years Christmas/holiday events, we will once again be able to exchange presents with both O-Pongo (if its still the same guy) and Maple Claws. Last year, it was found that, like other exchange events, you can block out all other INV slots til you get a specific item. My question is, if the items are the same as last year (maplemas lights from Maple Claws, green mittens from O-Pongo), which will you be choosing to exchange with?

For me, im leaning towards Versal mas, to get a good helping of those 6 slot mittens for selling. But i also have noticed that in the last few months, there have been practically NO maplemas light in fm, and they may sell just as well as the mittens.

I really don't know. My hat is INT scrolled and I don't want to break my next one if I'm forced to drop it. I'll probably end up Versalmas-ing on a mule and hoping they release that thing where you get to trade untradeable items.

Think about it. With the knowledge of this "glitch" existing, people are going to farm the hell out of the Green Mittens. They'll be quite worthless by the end of the month.

I doubt they'll have this glitch though. IT didn't work for me last time for me. It only works for maplemas lights and that's it. =(

IDK if it only works for the lights, i can remember quite a few shops flooded with mittens shortly after i heard about the lights glitch. I think that you had to use a higher amount of presents for it to work or something.

i hope they fix the present drop rate to what it used to be a couple years ago.

I hope they just have Leafre monsters drop the event items. Why is it that for every event since it came out Leafre hasn't dropped ANY event items?

I'm going Maplemas this year (As if my sig didn't give it away). I like the hat better. Versalmas can burn until they add a Versal Happyville, instead of just randomly placing him in NLC.

Many highly trained on monsters don't do this. Voodoos/Hoodoos, Himes, Newts, Skeles, and other monsters like these did not drop Maple Leaves.

I'm undecided, I went Maplemas on my marksman last year and Versalmas on my WK, I might switch this year so they both have the hats, assuming the hats stay the same.

Well you get the hat for completing the quest. Then you exchange presents for a chance of getting those items.

Did both last year, might do Maplemas. Purple+green only looks good with an 'Eclipse' polearm weapon. ;/

Since I did one last year, I'll do this other this year. So Versalmas for me this time around.
