So I'm reading a play called "Cloud Nine"

The cover was already weird enough, but then reading it I had to lock down my brain so to repel all dirty thoughts. Might as well call it Crack Shippings: The Play.

My reaction as I read it:

That is all. You may resume your normal lives.

So I wiki'd it and...
Wikipedia Wrote:The play uses controversial portrayals of sexuality and obscene language and establishes a parallel between colonial and sexual oppression.[2] Its humour depends on incongruity and the carnivalesque, and helps to convey Churchill's political message about accepting people who are different and not dominating them or forcing them into particular social roles.

I wasn't aware that reading something like Cloud Nine with a completely straight face and not wanting to get a boner from a reading assignment is a secret rite of passage. Do tell me more!

My last couple of Anthropology reading assignments have been about lurid gay sex tourism in prague and what basically amounts to hot foreign girls living as nannies in English houses wearing mini skirts and sunbathing topless.

It's a very entertaining course.

I can understand the whole "wait this is supposed to be work?" thing.

It's only ~88 pages. Do eet. It's one of the funniest reads I had all quarter. White man playing a black man who wants to me more like the white man. The son is played by a woman. Just. Yes.
