Granted it's 2011, and they had a loss this year, but it was because of investments in staff/advertising rather than the company losing revenue from customers.

They also expect a 10b+ profit from mobile applications alone this year

Yes but I'm also under the assumption such a large data bank would be monitored/stored at the headquarters of all the branches rather than just kept at nexon america.

So they made more than 10b collectively, have ~3 branches total, but you don't think it probable that the Nexon America branch made at least 10% of that collective value?
There's truly a point at which asking for proof gets absurd.

We have a thread going on at the moment where people are claiming they got banned falsely, and plenty of people are willing to take their word on it.
I don't see how this would suddenly shift things towards hostility. It's still your word against Nexon's of what was going on. If people were inclined to believe you they will anyway.
I'm mostly in favour of it 'cause it'll at least shift things from "I wasn't hacking" to "that's not hacking" or "someone must be logging on my account", both of which are easier to dispute concretely.

I guess if the permaban evidence is requested they should at least provide something. If not the video itself then at least some specifics (who what when where why).
Don't quite understand why they wouldn't at least provide links to the videos that they already have uploaded on their youtube channel. It's already there, and it would save a lot of trouble for everyone.

Oh yeah definitely. I'm all for it being public, you broke your right to privacy within the game when you broke the terms of service and user agreement by hacking or using third party programs.

No at making it public, there would be too much unnecessary drama from it. But Nexon should be able to respond each appeal with evidence of the ban unless it was an auto ban (which are always temp, there's no possible way for them to get evidence of auto bans, so we're going to have to deal with it and let the days go by).

Giving the video out to the player, yes.
Making it public without permission or even asking to the player in question, no.
If one decides that "his" video is to be viewed by anyone, show it.
If one decides that "his" video is to be viewed by no one because he feels not like it, don't show it.
Midway solution, I like it =)

Not really. Why would Nexon need permission considering your character and items technically still belong to them and that they wouldn't be showing it unless you were actually doing something bannable?

For anyone screaming "NO DRAMA", could you provide an example? You're permabanned from the game, what drama? Your friends would contact you, inform you a video is up, but if the account was compromised, I would assume your friends would know/understand. Even for the people who hate you, if your being honest and it has been compromised, it would be released anyway. In fact nexon should take it a step further and roll back your character's levels gained/exp.

Let me just say, about Fiel's argument about you losin trust from your friends if they saw a video of you hacking...
Considering they trully are your friends and not people you just met, there are many ways they can be certain you were not the one hacking. Each person usually has a pattern of behavior when they come online. For example I would always say hi to everyone and specifical people in my guild, and have some chat with my buddies before i'd start training, that is how many realized I wasn't the one on my account the day I got hacked and no one doubted to lend me a hand afterwards. Other people have their own patterns but it all comes to the same, if they know you, they will be able to tell if its you or not. And in any case, even if they noticed nothing at all, if they trully are your friends, they will believe what you say, if not, you better get new ones.
