Nothing compares to the craptastic internet solution that is Hughesnet. (Gen 3, not 4)

1 Mb/s (At peak, 0.5 or lower on average), Upload around .5 MB/s, and 1500 ms PING.

That means if you hit the teleport key on a mage in Maplestory, combine the ping with the game server's own lag, and you're looking at a 2-3~ second wait between teleports. And forget attacking.

Yes, I know, its satellite internet, but the sad thing is that its all thats available to me at the moment. Theres a rumor going around that I might get access to U-Verse soon, but even then, the fastest we'll get is around 20 MB/s or so, AND with a data cap of 250 GB.

Now that's awkward. o.o

As for me, these speeds are pretty good for me despite the fact that I'm running on wireless amidst all of the other devices that's connected to my (non-Verzion issued) router.

Oh no, awkward is that they're charging me an $1150 early termination.

God damnit that is an attractive connection.

Where I come from, internet was $62 a month, and that was for a connection comparable to college wifi.

$70 doesn't seem bad for a connection that amazing... then again, I'm only paying 8 bucks for my internet here.

Not saying it's not expensive, though, because it is. ;_;

My residential Comcast used to look like that business Comcast. Something like 1.4Mb/s. Then AT&T started trying to compete. Now it's 25Mb/s. Or Comcast did some general system improvement for the hell of it. But I don't see flying pigs outside, so I'm thanking AT&T for my faster Comcast.
