False bannings galore.
blackfire Wrote:that sounds unfair doesnt it? you get better treatment because you work for them in tech support and thus as shown in the ticket "hey keith" they know you so ofc the dont want someone inside saying bad things
but what of everyone else who are innocent like you? if you are inside nexon then maybe you should bring this to their attention and get other people besides skelorm (i hear he has a bad reputation for ignoring and not doing a proper job) since you are on youtube maybe you can try to raise awareness and have peopel tweet to them about this (not only for you)
so other people can be released just like you have. if you are a big voice in ms community then help us.

also i would like to ask "After reviewing your account and the video evidence," can they show us the evidence why do they always say and tlak about the evidence, the fotage but they wont show it or prove to us it exist so we can work it out

I do not work for Nexon.

The video of be being banned is set to private because it shows my login id. I sent them this video.

Skelorm isnt that bad of a guy, but everyone who answers tickets for a living can only put up with so much bs. How many kids do you think submit tickets saying "Plz plz unban me, I never hak ever!"
I haven't been permanently banned, but I have gotten blocked by that BillingPP incident before. I've had the account for 5 years which I have spent a lot of effort on, why would I do anything to risk getting it banned? If I were to permanently banned due to their glitch or whatnot and get denied of my appeal, I would never return.

I play a game for fun, not to worry about getting banned or anything for something ridiculous.
Not trying to offend anyone, but what a way to play a game where you should feel the need to record all the time for evidence just in case you get falsely banned. Even if you sent it in, do you think Nexon would take some effort and consideration in appealing your ban with compensation?
That's a bit too much effort and unnecessary worries for playing a game to me.

So I hope you can't blame me if my trust and faith in Nexon doing the right things properly is pretty low right now, especially when dealing with this kind of thing. Though, I do sympathize with the people that have gotten falsely banned and hope they get back what they deserve. There's no way to tell whose innocent or guilty, but I'll trust on their word over Nexon's until there is evidence that would prove it otherwise.
I think that if you're working with customer support, you're supposed to deal with it.

If you can't handle the pressure or hate it so much that you'd rather resort to just closing tickets with automated messages because it makes your life easier, get your pomegranate together and try to get a better job. It works both for the person answering the tickets and for the people that send them. Rolleyes

Doesn't work like that. First off, if he had the authority, he should be checking the information, not flat out lying to everyone that he has it in some secret treasure trove somewhere. Secondly, considering the applications for that position, he has no authority. He's told to say "tough luck" and believe the people/autoban system is the ultimate authority and nothing can change that.

Your circumstance was different because of hime, skelorm had no power but to override it, which was a special circumstance. I can almost guarantee no one has had an override unless someone gave him permission to do so, specifically.

I literally typed out 3 word tickets to get a different response out of him, he told me I was abusing the ticket system when I said "What illegitimate activity". Again I reiterate, if he had the power to actually pull up the information, he would. Why do you think GM's other than skelorm have to pop up and go "Oh well, I double checked to see if he was right, and looks like he is!". It's because he doesn't have access to it, he's just the "Obligated appeal system" that has no appealing to it, it's a face. If any frustration he should have, it's the self realization of how worthless he really is to the company.

I could have sworn that Hime didn't do tickets, and was mostly in charge of Community stuff. I may be wrong.
While my tickets were addressed (read: replied with copy+paste rejections) by GM Skelorm, I don't blame him personally. He's a peon following a procedure and then using a cookie cutter reply because it saves time. I can't say I really blame him for doing it that way.

I think Nexon decided to have a ban appeals that are rejected get replies from him. If it's an actual business strategy; it worked brilliantly. Instead of people hating Nexon, everyone hates this one GM!

Not quite a tin foil hat theory, but maybe farfetched.

Zelkova; Hime is probably the one who noticed the Twitter storm and may even been aware of your YouTube channel since it falls under her umbrella of public relations. It's easily conceivable that she made the recommendation to expedite your unban because it would be a PR disaster.

I'm pretty sure he's mentioning the fact that Hime brought attention to your ban.

Hit the nail on the head, glad I wasn't the only one who thought this Rolleyes

Sorry, I derp'd.
Lulz I've probably sent like 7 tickets all around (1pm-9pm EST) and they're replied within that day by the notorious GM Skelorm, unfortunately rejected each time, but with an automated reply. Tongue Sad I just wanted proof of my "3rd party programming" Sad Guess they don't want me using itunes while playing maple ;-; BGM here I come?
VerrKol Wrote:After my false autoban, I've taken to constantly recording video whenever I play. I am that paranoid now and reading threads like this isn't helping. What does it say about the company when I have to take precautions like this because not only is their autoban system malfunctioning, their appeal system is bs?

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me!

I won't comment on perma bans because supposedly those are done with video evidence, but it's very easy to see how their autoban system could malfunction. A fair number of players affected including myself were severely lagging at the time and this has been known to trigger autobans in the past. It's really easy to verify with the Body Pressure bug. Now that the autobans have been extended to 30 days the problem is far more dire and should be addressed.

In some ways, I almost hope I get banned while recording like Zelkova;. That way publicity might bring about action.
This post is why I wouldn't even step into Empress or any maps considered a "hot spot" for hackers.

I don't see how it's enjoyable to play when you're constantly worrying whether you're going to get banned or not. If it were me I'd stop going to those maps/expeditions, or just stop playing altogether. Not going to be recording everything I do just to play and get unbanned if they falsely ban me. That's beyond ridiculous and I understand why you're doing it but for me that's just enough to think it's not even worth it.
I have no problem relating too the issue on customer service annoyance from countless spammed tickets of "I dint do nuttin!!" but the prime issue here is the fact that something has broken, and they aren't announcing that something is broken, they might not even know the issue themselves at the moment because simply some things don't make sense when they happen in coding correct? But this does not excuse the way the situation is being treated for many.
I too have no problems having sympathy for these overworked workers especially as they likely have little to do with the technical aspects of the game, but sweeping the issue underneath the carpet isn't the solution.
Is Skelorm even real? Could it just be an auto-bot like we have Notify here?

He's real, I've pushed him out of his auto responses in my tickets. I'd post them but I don't have the ability to go onto nexon's website atm Rolleyes

I've spoken with him before. I believe he's the one that likes the fountain drinks.

Probably real. Kind of wonder if he is this guy: (Quote abridged)

Advice to Senior Management – Realize that we as employees are human beings, not machines, and the ridiculous amount of stress being placed on a small number of us is NOT good policy. On top of this, direct more staff towards your flagging releases, hire more staff in general, release more content, provide a better level of customer communication and answer my flipping ticket please.

I thought this one was better:
Quote:Advice to Senior Management – Learn to have some courage and don't needlessly follow everything that Nexon Korea tells you. You are your own company and you're missing out on gems and alienating your player base. Instead of doing the right things and pushing for certain games, you've allowed games which at one time were one of your leading moneymakers, to fall stagnate. Now you try and focus on other games, letting the true gems escape you. I understand some of the reason and verdicts come from Nexon Korea, but with a little push things could have been different. This adds stress to your workers also, as they are met with a community that dislikes them, especially when we aren't allowed to communicate with them. This has them believing things like bugs and errors are our fault, especially when we aren't giving time to look over the code and fix these things. I mean come on, you get a patch and want us to translate, code and import it in less than two weeks? This company only cares about money. The way the employees are treated tends to be fair, given the deadlines, but some of the management could do with not showing preferential treatment to some of the less talented and more loyal employees. The lack of communication between Nexon and Nexon Korea is also killer, with everything seemingly dropped last minute. With a better tie to our communities, better attempts at understanding the load put on your employees, and some infrastructure changes, the company could grow and expand, seeing an overall better product produced.
Some of those read like random people from this site posting over there. "Answer my flipping ticket"? Yeah, pretty sure he/she doesn't work for Nexon. Just a random upset player leaving feedback.

If that was a real employee of Nexon, it puts a lot of things into perspective about how that company is managed at the executive level (terribly).
