Lots of new randoms with really bad IGN's getting to 200?

Oh, huh. Now something else makes sense to me.
The reason they leave old skill data in for revamped classes, like recently these Cygnus fellows? So you still have a skill to have sp spent in, so your reset can actually function.

They don't give you an SP reset for Strikers, and all the points are refunded and the old skills are set to zero. While this removes your skills from your key configuration, if you had your old, now removed, skills in the macro slots, you'll still be able to see the old skills in your macros. If you hover over them, it'll display the info for Level 1 of the skill as "Next Level", like you haven't put points into it yet.

It's like this for all skills that are no longer available, though, when you first log in, before you even reset, the SP from those skills have already been refunded and the skills themselves no longer have any points in them.

Then I'm confused as to why resets would work that way again. xd

inb4 Nexon does absolutely nothing with this. Either that or they USC to fix it and not ban anyone.

They'll "investigate".

Whatever did happen to the thousands of accounts "investigated" for Hob PQ leveling glitch?

Definitely noticing plenty of 200s, specifically ones wearing "Cowboy Newbie" event medals...

I wonder too myself... they probably just left it there and hoped we forgot about it.

It's a hack. I looked on a certain website and it requires a packet to be sent.

edit: nvm there's a version that just requires Hyper Tele and no hacks

I'm pretty sure they can tell something is amiss if a level 1 Beginner turns into a level 200 one in 15 minutes.

I'm guessing a week tops before they come out with any announcement, or some type of purge during their Server Maintenance.

Well from what I gathered is they can't advance to do this exploit, and once they're 200 and do advance they get 4 sp per advancement. So these are unplayable characters still, useless characters. So all in all, this exploit only helps them for "SS" cards, which is still pretty major IMO.

Nexon will just ban any characters that went 1-200 in minutes.

It is the weekend, they probably have a skeleton crew working right now and wont do anything until tomorrow.

You can use a hyper teleport rock to get there, without having the map saved or needing someone to teleport to. <_< No packet editing required! Rolleyes It's really just a huge pineapple-up on Nexon's part for leaving it open like that.

What "dimensional portal"?
I'm not asking how the glitch works, i don't care. I just don't remember what this portal is.

If you need further proof that Nexon's asleep: there's a thread on their own forums showing exactly how to do this, screenshots and all. It's been sitting there since 1am or so, untouched. Maybe it's bait, but I'm more inclined to think they just don't have any mods on, much less GMs.

Sad.

For once Nexon should do real maintenance on their client and remove old content instead of shoving it in the basement. I swear the file is getting bigger and bigger, by the end of the year they're going to be asking new players to download a 6 GB file to try out their game.

i would gladly work for Nexon however many hours each weekend ;_; this is ridiculous.

all hackers know Maplestory becomes a playground during the weekend, you see it at LHC, HoH and now this crap. its so out of hand, they need weekend people

I assume this is why I went down 11,405 spots on the ranking.
