Way to screw stuff over hasbro, lets hope this isn't a jump over the shark
guys like for the entire show celestia has been grooming twilight politically for leadership
>write me letters about friendship
>write me letters of how you understand how people interact with each other
>almost always takes the lead
>celestia gives them her greatest enemy as a plaything as their final test, to see if they can make someone whose ways were literally set in stone change via what she taught / learned from her friends
i mean seriously how could you have not seen this coming
>luna raises the moon with magic
>celestia raises the sun with magic
>twilight controls magic
she's going to end up the most powerful being in the land.
alternate theory: celestia knows twilight has immense power, and has her off in the boonies learning how to be a good person, and the friendship letters were celestias version of a sanity check, because if someone with that much power were to go full darklord. RIP

With this season I saw it coming but I really wanted to belive it wasn't because IMO theres no need for her to become a princess, I mean look at star swirl, I doubt he was a prince/king but he was really powerful and knowledgeable, for me the princess crap is just an excuse to exploit the whole princess thing they have been forcing into little girls to sell toys.
Kinda like that alternate theory, we have seen how powerful twilight is and how derange she gets.

Well ze main problem is if you make Twilight an Alicorn permanently, then she's pretty much done being a main character of the show, because how does one properly write slice of life episodes for someone like that? I'd easily imagine it'd be politics and castle paperwork all the time for her at that point. The best case scenario I can think of (should this indeed happen) is they pretty much have to make a new series after this (aka generation skip to G4.5 or so), with new characters to replace the Mane 6.

No new episode this week, but considered, we can rewatch certain ones this weekend...anyone? XD
We'll have to see. I got to see if I can make time to watch a live performance, and got a chapter to read, and also make sure an upcoming social event has the business cards that I supposedly order a couple weeks back. But to make it simple, Saturday evening can work.
Since it's roughly over, might as well I give my bits about it. The plot was really well written, disproving everything I assumed in certain cases, with evidence to whiteness.
How there's barely any plot holes is as well, astonishing. Since spoilers, I can say it's gonna be a wild ending.

And then we end up liking Alicorn Twilight after all.

Not entirely Pony related, but found Rubberfruit made a collab video that involved TheLivingTombstone with the music. I was loling throughout.
