240 billion EXP required would be better than 24 billion. At least then levels and rankings would SLIGHTLY mean more again.

Zerard Wrote:Can you really blame me for not putting so much faith in Nexon? Take Unlimited for example. We all thought, since they were buffing the boss difficulty to such an extreme, that they in turn would 'make characters stronger than ever' as they said they would in their promotion for the patch. Later revealed to simply be additional options on weapons, bosses like Cygnus are neigh impossible to defeat, unless you dump your wallet into funding yourself like Limgoon does (and even he had troubles). Or, the whole deal with Crimson Queen right now. The developers themselves said the Crimson Queen would be the potential favorite of the players, but take her down not even a day later due to the 'server instability' she causes (to this day, I have no idea if this is true or not, seeing as I did multiple runs on her with little to no lag). KMS recently released a fix for her. So you'd think NexonAM would give the same fix to us. Ha ha, no. Looks like we're going to have to wait for the next patch for a simple 7 mb fix.
But nevertheless, if everyone is so adamant that Nexon has great things in store for us, then I shall wait and see. All I can say is the content we receive in turn best be enticing.
Your example of using Unlimited as why you shouldn't have faith in Nexon is flawed. The next patch(es) could easily be apart of this massive powerup to help us better fight these new bosses that became stronger in Unlimited. Btw those options on items are pretty crazy and will be helpful in getting better equips.
Idk how long it takes for a patch or fix to move from KMS to GMS, but I am sure that they are aware that the players are waiting for a fix to Crimson Queen, so I guess all we can do is wait. Like I said, they aren't perfect, but they are trying to keep their game alive.

I don't understand why this is getting so much hate.
Yeah, it screws up the rankings, so what? Rankings don't even mean shi't anymore. A large majority of the rankings are being hogged up by hacker/botter characters anyway. More than half of the characters that are rank 1-10 in every world (or at least the older worlds) don't even play anymore. More than half of the characters that are level 200 have already quit or moved on to a different character. Raising the cap to 250 means the characters that still play today will now have a chance to claim a high spot in the rankings, which is good.
Raising the cap to 250 (assuming they do it right and this comes with a 5th job, and hopefully an AP cap increase beyond 999) means some of the not-so-insanely-geared players will stand a chance against some of the higher up bosses.
200 is already easy enough to reach, which is stupid, because the level cap should be hard to reach. If 20b exp is a correct estimate to get from 249 to 250, this would mean players will not be able to reach the cap within a day like they are now.
I approve.

I shouldn't be seeing this seeing I only joined Maple when Aran was first released, but I feel like Maple has been passing away and has been changing dramatically for me. I still remember the Pre-BB AI and the past towns.

Hopefully, "new high level content" means Nexon will also include lots of new quests and PQs, so there will be something else to do besides mindlessly grinding to 250. Otherwise, I'm hoping RLH will become a permanent addition to the game. I know that many people think that leveling to 200 is super easy, but I just don't have the time or patience to grind anymore.

Theoretical 201-250 level exp chart.
It's based on pre-existing values and the already given value of 200-201 = 2.2b

The whole rankings issue is something I don't really care about.
As already mentioned, most of the people who have a high spot of the ranking have long quit the game or moved on to another character. And honestly I have always thought people who have abandoned the game or their characters shouldn't be able to keep such an honorable spot.If you have a high ranking spot in the game, you should actually be playing said game.
Furthermore, Rankings haven't mattered for years. Hell, from what I know(haven't bothered checking) they're still broken. The top 5 in Renegades, for example, are all known for not exactly playing the game according to the terms of service. Hell, most players these days are leeching off hackers or using glitched maps for everything. You guys honestly respect anyone who does that?
Then why pay attention to the new rankings? Because that's sure as hell all we are going to get. Rankings are now irrelevant, and the level cap of 200 was a joke and if anything people should be whining about the power creep and such making it too easy. That's what made your level and rank worthless in the eyes of the community, not the new level cap.
You should pay attention to what we're actually getting; a chance to actually enjoy boss content since Unlimited made it downright impossible to participate in runs for a majority of people.

Even if getting to 200 is now considered "easy," getting to 250 is by no means the same difficulty.
Edit: Unless the new training spots are insane.

I love this.
Evan 11th Growth! I'm sure this will be an amazing thing. I hope they boost Illusion instead of replacing it, and I hope they give us several great 200+ areas. At least 5 of them.
The only thing so far I'm disliking is the fact that my already created cygnus kinght won't have the much better looking set. I guess I could anvil it.

Going by Locked's "Theoretical" chart. Level 249 -> 250 is essentially "Level Capping" twice right now (Level 1 -> 200).

Where I can't deny that they can come in handy, the same can be said about potential. That is, if you get the right stat.
But again, we'll sit back and observe from KMS' course of action for the future. It may be the content we've been waiting for years to explore... or, it can be a lack thereof. It's kinda iffy for me, since Nexon's been known to produce both... but I suppose I should give them the benefit of the doubt. As it's been said before, it's too early to draw conclusions. We are now playing the waiting game.

It is a floating point error, the accuracy of it should be only about a few off anyway.
