Many beta/long term members of Maple have a character timeline. Not only the single character you played and how it changed over time, but the ones you kept making one after one after one making them all stronger each time.

So post those experiences whether in a elaborate picture/collage, or a simple Bannedstory creation.

Here's my timeline of characters from the start of maple to the end.

All of them I have stuck with for quite some time but had to quit due to horrible stat placement, getting hacked, etc. I also left out ones that got hacked completely and I couldn't rebuild =\.

EDIT - Guess I should list the character names.

My first two were my mages, now believe it or not, I forgot their names. They were my first characters and started right out of beta. But I know they had the word Thunda in them, cause they were Ice/Lit mages.

Second character is OXxXSlyXxXO, and yes I was apart of the dexless sin craze with male face 4 and blue metro hair

Third character is OXxSlyxXO, my bandit who made it up to level 45 and I deleted him

Fourth was EasyKilling, my two handed axe fighter that was probably the most funded out of all of them.

Fifth was Dkayy, my dragon knight that got to level 120 and 4th job and then got hacked =\

Last and my forever character is ClassyShot, my level 7X sniper atm. I plan to get him to 120+ and then retire my maplestory timeline :]

TwistedSage (Mar. 2005-end of Beta) - I/L, first "perfect" character, all skill builds correct, died at level 34 with Beta
SinofTimes (Mar. 2005-end of Beta - Claw Rogue, correct build, died at level 23 with Beta
MildSoss (shared) - level 9x Assassin with Fury, died with Beta
Blaze (May 2005-July 2005) - Polearm Warrior, had a correct build, ditched him for my Beta characters, deleted in July when I made my Fighter. Died at 1x with his Mark on, couldn't get it back.
XxMinorityxX (July 2005-August 2005) - Sword Warrior, correct build, first "real" GMS character. Deleted at level 28 when I made my Assassin.
ChaosXLegion (August 2005 - October 2007) - Hermit, correct build. Helmless, semi-low DEX (100). Quit in October 2007 at level 85 when I made my Sniper. Used as a mule.
FiraInferno (October 2006 - December 2006) - F/P Wizard, regular LUK. Quit in December at level 36 for my Page.
Xaenus (December 2006 - February 2007) - Page, low DEX (45), helmless. Quit in June due to boredom at level 52. Used as a FM mule.
Hybe (October 2007 - August 2008) - Sniper, low STR (56). Quit in August due to me finally realizing that I deserve to quit. First character with helm, first character to ever break 1b, first character to have a "higher tier" damage range. Quit at level 92.

Several other minor characters created as well.

2006, Fall

PowuhNub, Bera: Level 12, quit to go to Broa to train with my sisters, since they had just started playing.

I jumped around a lot so I might as well just say all the switches and stuff.. lol

I started on bera back in june 05. got a one-handed sword page called Koano up to level 42, then got bored of it. made an assassin called Koarii that I got to like.. 63 before quitting for a few months. I quit after an 18 hour non-stop training session at zombies loool. came back around the time ludi was released and got up to about 84. that's when me and my friends decided to move to jMS

on jMS I got my priest, rehash, up to level 99 before the IP ban. since proxy + priest = wtp, I went back to global with some friends and made a cleric, Niego, on windia that I got to level 43 before quitting. I went back to my bera hermit after that and got it to level 123. soon after that I realized that global just wasn't the place for me, and went back to jMS for a few weeks. made my priest a 120 bishop and moved on to kMS, where I'm now a level 110 valkyrie <3.

pictures!! I had way too much fun with this.. ended up including basically every outfit I've ever used. lol

First, I looked like a noob. Then, I looked like a noob thief. Then, I started wearing the clothes of my level... BUT ALWAYS WITH A RULE. Different color on each part. Then, I looked like a Shao-lin guy (lv 50 stuff). Then, I ditched that awful hat, and wore a dark pilfer for a good while, with my dark scorpio set... Then, I got to wear a dark studded top, with the same pants... and a white ID. Looked weird. Then, I managed to get me a pirate set... Got myself a pirate hat... AND HERE I AM! With my favourite look!

Dunno about the future, but I'll miss my hat if I ever get a zakum helmet.

NOTE: The following history recap of the above character may have a few historical times left out, due to word limits in posts, forgetfulness, and any other excuse you can come up with. Otherwise, this following history should be soundly accurate.

Starting in November of 2005...

The Lv. 0 Era: The original shoes, the classic sandals, and the wooden club look were the foundations for future gear obsessions to come.

The Lv. 10-20 Era: Old Wisconsins came into play during this time, and surprisingly would remain dormant until the 90's Era.

The Lv. 30 Era: Whitebottom shoes came into play, and also would dissappear until the 90's Era.

The Lv. 40 Era: Tubes make their first actual appearance, along with an attempt to stay unified in one color. Almost.

The Lv. 50 Era: NX cash rears it's ugly head to this character, which led to what some said a zombifying accident along with a few pigtails.

The Lv. 60 Era: The tubes would make a brief dissapearance in favor over a higher attack Tamus. The bowlcut era would also make it's first appearance in a Thalid standard today.

The Lv. 70 Era: The final of the original tubes makes it's first and last(?) appearance.

The Lv. 80 Era: This was highlighed by the brief reversal of the zombifying accident, along with making NORMAL speed 1-handers a standard since Tubes in this time couldn't keep up with the Weapon Attack demands for these levels.

The Lv. 90 Era: Both Wisconsins and Whitebottoms made their trimuphant return, although only one of those would stick around today...

The Lv. 100 Era: The Wisconsin was unfortunately taken out of favor when the Zakum demons took over this poor soul's mind, however, a balance was still held with the making of Whitebottoms as a current staple. However, the Wisconsin feelings are still kept alive with a beginner called Thalidomide.

My first character was tinycrazyman, who was a warrior on Broa. Unfortunately, I screwed up his stats, and he died at level 24. This was around the first anniversary.

After going through multiple random characters, looking for a new server, I created mistermage5 on Khaini back in late 2006. My first character to get to level 30, and he became a cleric. Died at level 33.

My next major character, and the highest level I have yet to get a character to, is mistermage6, also on Khaini. I quit him once, then came back. My only character to get above level 42 at the moment. He was an I/L Wizard, and he died at level 67.

This character is still alive, although inactive. FinalHeart95 is my first non-magician to reach the second job. He was created during the summer of 2008, and has been very inactive. He is only level 42, and he is a bandit.

My newest character is a pirate, and hasn't even hit level 30 yet. His name is PirateJab5, and he is a eventually-to-be-brawler. Currently level 24, and was created with the start of the pirates. Also inactive.

This is my origional character from november '05. After about a month at level 23 i got it stuck in El Nath, and since it had horrible stats I remade it with the same name. It's an I/L


I made this char during the first anniversary event. I haven't done much with it, and ever since NLC came out i've been using it as a mule for pots. It's gunna be an assassin


I made this char in the summor of '06. I've been playing it more recently, because I haven't felt like playing my other characters. It's gunna be a Hunter.


I made this char earlier this year. I made this one because I wanted a Bandit, and I needed something to do while I waited for people on Basil to get on. Currently my second best character.


After I got an Umaru from iTCG, I decided to make another mage to get some use out of it. I made this during last year's anniversary. It's gunna be a F/P.


This is my most recent character and my third highest level. I made it when pirates came out (Big suprise) And i've been using it when I don't feel like training my I/L. It's a gunslinger.

Started with Erich336, a spearman in bellocan. Current look:
