Unscheduled Server Maintenance - December 17, 2012

While I was recording my Genesis games, it turned out that MapleStory is back up. Made my Kaiser, but didn't bother training him since it's late.

Getting REAL tired of the crash at every cutscene type of battle...

My maple doesn't even crash, it just stops at any cutscene x_x

wow 24 hours with the servers down, is this a new record?

nope there was an sc that lasted 2-3 days or I mean game was offline for 2-3 days a few years ago

And of course, the lag is still there in its full and undiminished glory. Sigh. I suppose their energies were entirely directed toward making the game actually launchable.

Yep, I got it too. Looks like they didn't fix a goddamn thing. I bet in about 24 hours they'll have another crisis.

I noticed that when it happens, it happens to my entire network. Were you logging and relogging on mules? I think it might be some new coding related to logging on too many times or accounts, but it's hard to confirm.

keep having the same problem, and i was relogging onto mules for ores and crap.

CCing into 1. Actually, I started noticing a variation of this problem since the SC prior to the last one(s). If I was DCed on my laptop for whatever reason (random, CCing, skill overload?), then I got the firewall message if I was logged onto my desktop. Only after logging off of my desktop was I able to get pass that message on the laptop. Interestingly enough though, I could log back in on my desktop once I got the Loading...+ Mushroom. I was able to replicate this and I didn't even need to restart the game on my desktop, just logoff to the login screen. I thought it was a local network problem, but what Aflac noted got me thinking.

I experienced this on Sunday. I haven't been able to figure out what triggers the "lock", but when it happens the only way to disengage the lock is to sever all connections to maple servers and possibly reset router/modem or wait. The lock conditions involve something to do with changing channels/cash shop/logging in, it doesn't have to do with the number of accounts at all. Last time it took somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-16 hours before it got really bad, let's see how long it takes for the problem to resurface.

I'm getting the firewall message now after relogging a ton of times because I kept crashing to desktop when I tried CCing.

I have a 2x card running and I have to reset store soon. Fix your pomegranate, Nexon.
