Scheduled Game Update - December 16, 2012

Yah lets let others grind the heck out of their Kaisers while others have to wait until they can login. Seems fair, even though I wasn't gonna race grind Kaiser. Just wanted to mess with hyper skills.

I wonder whether my ally who was going for first Kaiser was able to get in after this maintenance (he was on before). And if so, whether he was able to find anyone to Door him to Aliens. Or an LHC party. Or even just an HSer. He must be fuming no matter what. Good work, Nexon.

The login issues tend to be fixed when I get home, or I don't have login issues at all. It's the lag that annoys me.

As for me, everything seemed perfect, if there would have been no bugs. Came home at ~3:30pm (Finland Time), patch had ended 2pm. However shortly after I log in the game crashes and then I notice there's an unscheduled maintenance. After that I'm unable to log in at all, and here I am: 7 hours since the patch was done, haven't been able to really play at all.

My friend is yelling at me on Skype to get on and HS lol. He's training at LHC alone and apparently he hasn't seen anyone else.

Doesn't seem fair to the other people that wanted to race. I'm going to lose my pomegranate if this happens with AB.

Because I'm a jobless delinquent and I assume the rest are either in different timezones or have desk jobs with enough downtime to forum in between the cracks.

They better fix the lag. My range can hit 18k max self-buffed now, I really want to try my first big boss without being killed by $%*($^& lag.

This is great. I'm sitting at lvl 110, unable to get into the game at all, knowing that other Kaiser's are able to train, even if it's a bit inefficient. I was actually planning to rush, and I have a 2x card running hours right now. Why can't Nexon be more consistent, why do they have to screw up like this. I mean, they never have perfect patches, but this is ridiculous. I'll admit, it bothers me way more since this is something I really wanted to do this time, otherwise I wouldn't complain that much, but this really does suck.

He trained? I guess he was able to log in and it has been like 7hours, so that's normal with 2x and a couple of 1.5x exp from events. I'm not sure how fast my mercedes did that. Seven hours seems okay, maybe a bit slow for the new jobs considering Kaiser might be as OP as luminous on damage on early levels.
There are some people online atm, those who are racing probably, but if they dc, they will be screwed like most of us and unable to log in.

7 hours without dc'ing seems impossible, I never even got maple to open up one time, lol.

From my experience last night, if you are affected by the issue, you can't even CC or go to CS or else you'll DC and won't be able to log back in unless the issue goes away. For me, the issue came and went maybe three times over the course of the night. I'm still not sure if it was just a luck thing or if something I did was affecting it (logging on to mule accounts, running multiple maple clients on my network, etc). I did have the issue for about an hour straight, not being able to log on my laptop while my desktop was still connected, and the second I DCed my desktop client my laptop was able to log in, as well as my desktop. It's definitely a very strange issue.

As for the level, at least three of my friends are no-lifeing it atm and they were all 80+ before the USC (98, 100+, 86 having missed an hour). I guess it's not that difficult for Kaiser...crazy thing.

Can anyone help me out? My gamelauncher just stopped working. I can launch the ad page with the "play" button in the lower right, but after that I don't get the hackshield loading and the game gives me the message of "Cannot connect to server would you liek to try the website?" like there's a server check going on. Any help is appreciated. It worked fine yesterday o_o


EDIT: just tied the website log in too. That's not working either >.>

Considering how easy it is in maplestory it's a little off topic and irrelevant to scrutinize players who have managed to invest enough time into leveling a class that is pretty much built for leveling.

I think those who are online clicked start game as soon as the SC ended, then a couple of minutes after that, everyone else who tried to do that were unable to log in. Other than being unable to log in, I didn't have any lag issues in the morning so there is no reason to dc unless you are unlucky/your PC has problems with maple.
Btw, I said 7hours, but I'm not sure when the first SC or the second one ended...still 4-5hours of playtime might be enough for that level.
