The ancient warrior Kaiser has been reborn, and hes headed to Maple World to gather forces for a battle with Magnus! In honor of his impending arrival, were holding a weekend of Hot Time to celebrate.
Log in from noon to midnight on Saturday, December 15 (12 PM to 11:59 PM Pacific) and Sunday, December 16 (12 PM to 11 PM Pacific) and click the gift box icon on the left side of your game window to receive some powerful items to help you through Tempest! SP Reset Scroll, Tempest's Amazing Blessing and 20x Tempest Coins will be given out on Saturday, and AP Reset Scroll, Chaos Scroll of Goodness 50\%, and 20x Tempest Coins will be handed out on Sunday!
Your character must be Lv.13 or above to accept the free items. If you are logged in before noon, or you reach level 13 during the event period, you must relog into MapleStory to claim your gifts.
You can only get these items once on your account, so choose carefully! However, you can accept each day's items on different characters. For example, on Saturday your Dark Knight can receive the SP Reset Scroll, and on Sunday your Demon Slayer can claim the AP Reset Scroll!

I was thinking the same thing. But besides rings and positive chaos scrolls what else can you get for under 40 coins that is tradeable?
I am going to stockpile for now and hope they do this again.

I'm going to use them for clean slates, personally. Still trying to get slots back on my shoes and overall... this will be a great help and time saver!
