v.124 - Tempest: Luminous Update Notes

FrozNlite Wrote:YES HAPPYVILLE <3. Best time of the year for Maple. I think I'll have to redownload and log on for a bit just for the nostalgia. Wish the gigantic snowman boss was still there though.

Anyone in Khaini want to chill with me there in a few weeks?

Actually, according to the event list in-game, I think the giant snowman IS back this year.

Cassandra needs you to hold on to the Gale Gourd for 30 minutes.
Reward: 2 to 4 Tempest Coins.
Repeatable after 10 minutes.

Repeatable after 10 minutes.
If it's possible to stack multiple Gourds Nexon knows me too well

I think they learned their lesson on that one after the legends fiasco. Rolleyes

Wait, there's another new class?

How slow am I?

Anyways, Happyville is back. That's enough for me to play this game again.

Dark Link Wrote:It just depends on how often we even get coins from the chests. Won't help if the coins have a stupid low drop rate.

I noticed some of the equips in the tempest shop are tradeable until equipped (I believe all the tempest set is this way) so naturally if ice boxes drop coins, we'll see tons of cheap tradeable equips in the free market from botters.

Three things bother me here:

1. No mention of link skill. That is, the skill is described, but doesn't say that at level 70 the luminous can share it with other chars on the account.

2.
Quote: Gelt Chocolate x2: 100 HP/MP, +120 DEF/M.DEF, +30 ACC/AVD, +10 Speed/Jump. Duration: 10 minutes.
They better not have broken the Gelts. They've always been 120 attack, not def.

3. Inventory explosion. Nightmare flashbacks to the Christmas I bought the item ignore pendant for my pet, specifically so Santa Encyclopedias won't clog up my inventory. And now, so many events, so much junk to hold...

That quest gave a crapton of exp.
There isn't an issue if it just gives coins.
Right?

Eh, Nexon seemingly doesn't take too well to quest/glitch abuse these days, so I'd watch it if it's possible to do that crap again.

I still find it quite funny that Luminous is immune to the Darkness status.

He's a freaking mage, Darkness does nothing.
Also why does Nexon only show the Dark skills in first job? could they not be bothered explaining the choice between light and dark?

For this one I'll chalk it up to canon.

Uh I'm pretty sure darkness does still make you miss as a mage. (at least it did back when I played a mage pre-BB)

I've never once missed on my bishop when under darkness. I think it's been that way for awhile.

It never has for me, I've been under the darkness status many times on mages and it's never made me miss.
Maybe it's been changed since, I dunno o.o

I have woken up to snow outside, Luminous, and the return of Happyville. Smile

Jealous! Hopefully it snows elsewhere in England. You'd think the north would get snow soon right, RIGHT?
I WANT IT TO SNOW DAMN IT.

I'm feeling so festive and all these christmas events (Especially the shining santa box one, a CHRISTMAS TITLE!) are not helping Sad

Hmm, I think I still have the Altar Pieces and Sabbath Candles on a mule somewhere.

I sure do hope that the Ice Chests give Tempest coins...hunting 2000 monsters a day is not happening for me.

Yay, Happyville is back. I've missed the BGM of that place.

I'll just leave this quote from Waltzing regarding the Light/Dark choice on the official forums here. Who can say if it's true?

Quote:What I've been told:
The developers changed it so there's no picking sides in this version, and that the story was modified thusly. Something about wanting to improve the story flow and the balance of the character progression flow. The skills have also been set up so you have a balance between the two.
