We're happy to announce the release of a new tool on our website - the Server Status page!

The page shows the status of every world and channel, and if you're having trouble logging in, you can even check the status of the Login servers! You'll also be able to see if a world is currently under maintenance or if it's recently been restarted.

Now that the Server Status page is here, youll never have to wonder what's up (or down) with the servers again!

This is hilarious.

Now we need one for Dragon Nest too, because god knows that game needs a server upgrade badly.

That'd be because there's a rather large difference between the time it takes to throw a rock from across the hall versus across the country.

We should feel honored that they "stole" it from us. I gotta hand it to them though. The page actually looks pretty snazzy.

Totally unexpected..

-sees title-
"OOO Nexon promoting Southperry more eh?"

-sees "Login 1,2, & 3" with their page design-
Thought that comes to mind, "da pineapple, did they just stole this from us too?"

Considering theirs won't be reachable anytime their website isn't, yes.

Well, this is a service they should have been providing all along.
That they needed to see a fansite doing it (and others stealing it), and to fail to block those status checkers, before putting one up themselves, is shameful.
You might recall that at some point they tried to create a database, and guides, but those were apparently too much work. I believe even their forum came into being long after Sleepywood and Basil.

Ah well. I suppose it's better for the users that Nexon do this, more up-to-date and not subject to random network errors. (Assuming it does update automatically in real-time, unlike their "game up/down" website indicators that are manually updated). Too bad their page loads so very slowly, and lacks history.
Sucks that this might steal Southperry's traffic.

Theirs can't measure latency as viewed externally though, that's why all the other status checkers show them in yellow and red while they still show as green.

They're a strict up or down with no real definition for down but actually shut off.

Eh, I don't see why it would. Afterall, South Perry offers something Nexon never will.
