Pokemon vPeta

Welp, we see who got upset from this thread. Me, I would be mad as well, but when I noticed just how much effort they actually put into this, I instead just laughed and loled as I played it. PETA may be a joke, but good lord they did their research in making the game. I expected butchered names, or grossly inaccurate depictions of the Pokemon/characters, APPEARANCE-WISE. The only thing that they got wrong (as far as I saw) was Pikachu NEVER got into a pokeball. Everything else that PETA twisted around to spin support for them, whatever.

Inb4 we start seeing people cosplay as the final boss from that game.

So, basically PETA again tried to outrage people by targeting a decently sized demographic and trough that get a lot of exposure?
The result?
Pokémon fans love it and make fun of it and aren't generally too bothered by it.

I for one find it deplorable that the lot of you sit around all day enjoying a game where you capture animals and force them to fight each other until they become so tired or injured that they cannot sustain consciousness anymore.

I found this game more entertaining than Maplestory.

Know Your Meme had it up. Presumably a 4chan Pokemon user drew it. And how didn't you get to the end? It's just 4 battles, very quick if you spam the protest moves to debuff, and then use super effective moves to beat them faster. Amusingly each "human" has a type (one of them is weak to electric attacks, another is weak to water), and attribute to their attacks. Some are obvious, some aren't. It all depends on who you use.

One of the protest moves did damage, I forget which though.

Also found it hilarious that none of the Peta-created moves actually help you battle the trainers. Protests don't work, peaceful hugs don't work; so instead you have to defeat the trainer with violent actions. I think their message is accurate.

^this, but seriously who ever wrote this game had excellent knowledge of pokemon. I'm impressed.
