Opeth Wrote:You forget one thing. These pendants will become SO common that any idiot with 5mil will be able to buy one. Now stop and think for a minute. Is a wealthy damage whore going to actually try and earn this pendant? F'uck no.

Simple solution to your problem: Have Nexon allow the 2nd/3rd slots of the HT pendant be scrollable.

BAM! Narcian Pendant is now only 2nd best.

KajitiSouls Wrote:I have no idea what you're smoking. If you're talking about the Naricain pendants, those are TRADEABLE. It's only a matter of time that people who never PQ will be able to get a 12 watk pendant whenever they want, assuming they have mesos.

HT Pendants aren't entirely obsolete either. Their sheer primary stat bonuses has led to dependence on their use to equip higher lvl weapons for certain classes. One of my guildies actually cried because the Naricain Mark didn't give the necessary bonuses to let him equip his weapon. But that's not why I'm saying HT Pendants are good, but rather they help supplement secondary stats, such as Warrior's accuracy.
I think what everyone's forgetting here is the level requirement. It's not like the deputy star with a low one, the requirement is actually 20 levels higher than the PQ's. By 110, a lot of classes will actually be able to fight for it so I think you might see people trying to run rather than buying them.

Then again, once most of the people capable of taking down the bosses have gotten their own, they might stop going all together and then this will either force people to buy them (if only one or two groups actively hunt the bosses) or force people to go on their own (Which could be a hassle to get 10-20 people together.) Just because a flash mob can go in and get it today doesn't mean that'll be the case in 3 weeks or 3 months.

"If this happens people will be running not for pendants, but for bonus." As if they aren't already. I'm sure the chances of getting assassinate 30 along with the many other costly books (not to mention the chairs and ele weapons) are worth the run even if the pendant costs diminish to pomegranate.

everybody loves the ability to use a weapon they want Rolleyes nexon was smart in making a lot of needed things come from bonus, as to have people want to come back when they could. Im hoping they add more new things to it tho, the spear is nice, and so is the axe and pendant, but i still want a lil more variety for other claseses. Mages, warriors, and thiefs seem to have the most alt-weapon choices atm.

Perhaps not for Horntail, but CB can always use Mesos Explode. We did this for Zakum, so why not for the CWK PQ if the party is fairly low level?

Takebacker Wrote:Just because you don't doesn't mean the rest of them do. o.o I know a lot of dexless warriors that use HT pendants when they try to figure out when they can hit stuff.

by the time i get my zhelm scrolled i wont care about accuracy at all. i could reset to 4 dex and have no trouble. the accuracy isnt an issue. no dexless warrior needs to depend on htp. theres so much other acc gear.

The quest is lvl 80, HT is lvl 160

Warriors, who compared to thiefs/Archers will get a nice bonus. But like I said its only somwhat balanced. Dexless NL's now have a new toy. and such.
Bad reasoning. Even if you planned your stats around having a HTP, you could just add 20 points into dex or whatever and put on 10 weapon attack, and still be better off.

Thank you, captain obvious.

Yes, the quest is 80, which means you can "fight" HT at 80.

I think he means that the CWK bosses are 130, giving it a bigger chance to be useful even at lv 90 (even if slightly).

However, don't expect a bunch of lv 90s killing the bosses. However, a lv 90 pirate can help more than anyone (being the case of pirates being not so common)
