Or they brought it with them from Versal in order to communicate. I don't think it's unreasonable to think Versalians have such technology, since seemingly normal people like Elpam are performing interdimensional travel.

They're on top of a mountain in the center of the Forest. It should be an easy task for them to go around. However, some of the Corrupted Army would be walking through the Forest.
