JezzaMS Patch version 1.3

JezzaMS has released Ellinia PQ and the Waypoint system

 NPC

 Items

 Character

 Map

 Mob

Ellinia Party Quest
Getting Started
First of all, the character must be level 11-20 in order to do the PQ. Talk to Shane of Ellinia and he’ll take you over to the Ellinia Challenge Waiting Room.
Once there, players may talk to Dash to open up a room, there players are transported to the Lobby Room.
Each room is dependant on the number of players participating. Room 1 is for 3 players, Room 2 is for 4 players, Room 3 is for 5 players and Room 4 is for 6 players.
Once enough players have entered a room, the PQ may start.

Ellinia Challenge Room
Here, players are warped into different sections within the map, no players can intercept one another directly. This PQ is literally a competitive Jump Quest where players aim to climb all the way to the top dodging obstacles. Items may not be used and the Pirates Dash Skill cannot be used either.
The PQ is designed to set up like this:
I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I

I__________I I__________I I__________I
where this map is for 3 players.
This PQ is tall and has 20 levels (although not shown in the ascii art). Each level has a different mini Jump Quest which the lower levels difficulty is the easiest and the upper level difficulty is the hardest. On the 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th levels, there are 5 Speed Slimes each providing 40 EXP when killed giving a grand total of 800 EXP when all are killed. However since they have high weapon and magic def, they might prove troublesome to lower level players.
The first person to climb to the top of the JQ would receive the most EXP whereas the last two players would not receive EXP at all =(.
EXP varies in the number of players participating.

Traps
Yes, as in all competitive PQs, there are always ways to sabotage the other players chances of winning.
Within the JQ, there are crystal leafy plants that drop powerups and traps when killed. However, some may drop nothing. In ALL JQs, there’s always 20 plants in every players lane (1 on every single level) and only 10 drop items.
Here is a list of powerups that a player may obtain:

Mini Haste
Gives +5 Jump for 1 minute

Mini Dash
Gives +5 Speed for 1 minute

Invisibility
Gives a ‘Dark Sight’ effect for 30 seconds, this does not affect speed or jump. Will disappear if hit by an unfriendly buff.

Magic Sphere
Nullifys all buffs cast upon the character for 30 seconds. Will disappear if damaged in any way.

Magic Apple
Recovers half of the players HP and MP

Here is a list of Traps that a player may obtain

Slow Buff
Gives the Slow buff to ONE random player for 30 seconds.

Crazy Skull Buff
Gives the Crazy Skull buff to ONE random player for 30 seconds.

Stun Buff
Gives the Stun buff to ONE random player for 10 seconds

Random Stat Buff
Gives a random buff to ALL players for 10 seconds.
Random buff includes Slow, Crazy Skull and Stun

Monster Summon
Summons 6 stirges in all players lane on the level the player is in. Has the normal stats of an ordinary stirge.

Chances of obtaining items:
Mini Haste 10%
Mini Dash 10%
Invisibility 5%
Magic Sphere 5%
Magic Apple 20%
Slow Buff 10%
Crazy Skull Buff 7%
Stun Buff 6%
Random Stat Buff 2%
Monster Summon 25%

REWARDS
The reward is dependant in the number of players participating the PQ.

2nd Place 0 EXP
3rd Place 0 EXP

The Hyperstone is an etc item that is required to make the level 10 pendant ‘Hyper Pendant’ Speak to Dash in the Waiting Room in order to forge the Hyper Pendant. You need a total of 15 Hyperstones to forge the pendant which has 5 slots.
The Speed stones and the Jump Stones obtained in the PQ can be scrolled onto the pendant giving +2 speed and +1 jump respectively.

Waypoint System
A new skill would be added into the Beginner skillbook like the Legendary Spirit, Mount and Maker Skills!
Now players can teleport to different towns with a skill anywhere they want!

How to obtain this skill? First, note that the player can be any level to obtain this skill, by talking to Melissa in Ellinia, she’ll agree to teach you this skill if you gather her some stuff:

1 Vanishing Powder
1 Time Displacer

Vanishing Powder can be obtained by paying 10 million mesos to Arwen the Fairy.
Alternatively, you can enter Cash Shop and purchase 1 Glittering Trinket and swap it for the vanishing powder. The Trinket costs around 10k NX
Time Displacer can be obtained from Grandpa Clock in Ludibrium by paying him 5 million mesos.
Once you hand in both of these items, Melissa will reward you with the ‘Waypoint’ skill.

However with all great things, there always is consequences.
1. Once this skill is used, you cannot use it again for half an hour.
2. MP cost is high and it varies dependant on the users level ((user level * 10)/2 = MP cost)
3. The Teleport Pads must be activated before being used*

* With the new teleporting system, players must ‘activate’ the portals by speaking to the teleport pads. Once activated, players can teleport to that spot for whenever they please. However once the teleport pads is activated, they would expire after 24 hours thus the player must talk to the Teleport Pads again to reactivate it. And yes like the VIP teleport rocks, they can be used to cross continents.
Ever wondered what it would be like to travel into the same place, but in two different time periods? Get ready maplers for the biggest chapter is about to be revealed!

So any comments and constructive criticism? Biggrin

Oh daym, that was a typo. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thus level 100 people would use only 1k mana to use this skill.

RECENT EDIT: Changed a few things with the Waypoint Skill, halved the old MP cost to make it useable for some classes.
