Apparently, I mis-understood/interpreted something regarding HornTail.

Apparently, I need somewhere near or over 5K to survive a hit from Horntail, and with HB, that's over 8k HP. My question is, in able to obtain a HornTail Pendant + Egg, do I need to have high HP?. Some has told me that I do not, and I only need to wait in a room before Horntail, and before the Squad is about to kill it, I only need to come out THEN RIGHT BEFORE THEY SLAY IT, to obtain my Pendant.

Which eliminates the purpose of me being a Blood-Lord if that's the case. I thought I had to be fighting with the Squad, and had a minimum OF 5k to obtain a pendant.

But I think I need 5k minimum to kill Horntail? Can someone elaborate this a bit further? <_<

You need 4800 hp to survive (with hb), and with a pendant and egg you would only need 46xx as far as I know

You do not need HP to order a Horntail Pendant + Egg.

I have no idea on what the procedures are, though.

Edit: For example, look at the HP requirements in this ad. Wow, no HP requirement?

You only need 4900 hp if you are going to fight ht. Usually if you are a buyer, you wait in the 2nd fake head room and once ht is about to die you enter the main room.

You don't need any hp to obtain an egg/pendant.

I've seen this kind of thread before, but lemme answer it again.

Pendant/Egg Looters Instructions
Looter will finish Transformation Quest (from NPC Moira) and enter the map "Cave of Life: Cave Entrance". Looter will be brought into the next map ("Cave of Life: Entrance to Horntail's Cave") by their party leader.

Looter will wait until told to sign up for the Horntail Squad (NPC: Horntail's Schedule). Looter will double click the NPC when prompted to. This will bring the looter to the map "Cave of Life: Cave of Trial I". Looter will not move when entering the map. Once everyone is confirmed to be inside, the host will summon Horntail, and the looter will immediatley move to the first rope on the right, moving up to the very top of the rope. Looter will stay there until Pre-head A is downed.

Once Pre-head A is killed, looter will remain on the rope. The rest of the group will continue to the next map ("Cave of Life: Cave of Trial II"). Once the group inside has killled pre-head B, the looter will be given the green light, and he will proceed to "Cave of Life: Cave of Trial II".

At this time, the group (excluding looter) will proceed to the final map, "Cave of Life: Horntail's Cave". Looter will remain inside the map ("Cave of Life: Cave of Trial II") until Horntail is killed, and they recieve the go-ahead from the Host. At that time, looter will proceed into the next map ("Cave of Life: Horntail's Cave") and wait for looting instructions.
