I don't think it's related to BT at all. The maps might be sort of the same style, but I don't think it's going to be related.

On another note, this might be a stretch, but if NEXON's reviving old makes like this one, perhaps there's a chance for other maps and ideas to be revived as well.

I hope it is related to Dawnveil, though it seems kind of unlikely. Dawnveil is going the Masteria route and it's not pretty.

That sounds really nice. The way that place looks is reminiscent of the Mushroom Shrine's release for me. Loved that place, and I loved training at kappas (why is it so weird saying Kappa now in a serious way?) and the 9 tailed foxes, although I don't think those were with the original release. Either way, I love the train, too. I'll definitely be checking this out if it comes to GMS.

I hope we can get a tour of this area. That would be awesome.

Part-Taiwanese here and I'd like to add a bit of insight to this area. Alishan mountain region is one of the most visited natural areas on the Island of Taiwan (yes, it is a real place), so clearly the Taiwanese folks are very faithful to their homeland to decide to inspire an area off of their own vistas. There you can see some of the older trees in Taiwan, old rails and mines, as well as visit the hotels of higher elevations. And yes, I've visited the place around five years ago with a few of my travel buddies; we had awesome shaved ice and fried tofu in the native region. It was a blast!

TMS has also (in the past) established their world-famous Taipei 101 Tower, Ximending Taipei-Metropolitan area, and Night Market area into their game very early on. GMS re-adapted Taipei 101 into Kerning mall.

I personally love MapleStory's concepts of world tour area and I was saddened that many versions have discontinued their access. Hope to see more from Taiwan MS.
