New Playable Character: Twili Midna

Greetings to everyone in our The Legend of Zelda community! I'm Eiji Aonuma, the supervisor for Hyrule Warriors, and I'm happy to talk to you all again.

The second DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors, the Twilight Princess Pack, will be released soon, so today I would like to give you a sneak peek at what's inside.

The highlight of the first DLC pack, the Master Quest Pack, was being able to team Link up with Epona. This time around, there will be a new playable character - someone from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess... Who do you think it is?

Here's a hint: this character only appeared in this form at the very end of Twilight Princess.

In that game, Midna is cursed and cast out from the Twilight Realm, but now you will be able to unleash her true form as Twili Midna!

When I was developing Twilight Princess, I thought it was such a waste to let a beautiful princess like her only appear in the ending. Now Koei Tecmo Games has made my wish to see more of her come true.

Twili Midna's weapon is the Mirror of Twilight, which appeared in Twilight Princess. This mirror was destroyed at the end of that game, but it's pretty amazing in Hyrule Warriors. In fact, I can't describe in words what's so amazing about it, so I hope you'll download this DLC pack and see for yourself.

In addition to Twili Midna, the Twilight Princess Pack includes new weapons, costumes and an adventure map, so if you played through the original game, they should contribute to the fun you'll have in Hyrule Warriors. (For one of the costumes, you can dress Link up as a certain familiar character from the Zelda series. It may make you say ""Wow!"" so I hope you'll look forward to it.)

The second DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors, the Twilight Princess Pack, will be released globally on November 27!

It's what a lot of people were expecting, myself included, though I thought she'd be a weapon, not a character.

I wonder what Link's new costume is? Tingle Link? good god.
I hope we see a trailer soon!

#1 expected character pick for most of the community and it happens. I'm not surprised at all.

Pretty cool the DLC releases on the 27th.

Releases globally, huh? Cool. Better than NA's stated December, anyway.

It's also been confirmed that the new weapon is for Zelda (yay!) though they haven't revealed what it is yet. The adventure mode map is Twilight Princess themed (as opposed to being the original Legend of Zelda map again) and one of the new costumes is the Postman costume for Link.

Level cap has increased to 150 and we can now carry 999 of a single type of material.

Twili Midna is so much fun to play. Dominion Rod will take some time to get used to, but it seems really good. I should be getting the Spinner tomorrow, so i'm looking forward to that :3

Seriously this weapon swapping needs to become a thing. I absolutely need this. as well as Zelda using the summoning gate (she even hums Zelda's Lullaby as she uses it)
Lana can use Cia's staff too.

The DLC is coming on the 29th January in Europe and Japan, and February 5th in North America.

Also someone created a fake Wands of Gamelon/Faces of Evil DLC pack[/URL], it's pretty funny

I thought from the silhouette it was going to be Link dressed as Skull Kid, curse his androgyny.

I'm not sure Lana is the best choice for that costume her blue hair kind of clashes but you make a good point about the deku stuff.

+1 for the Skull Kid pose though.

It would be awesome if they had real CD-i DLC in this game. I'm sure lots of people would enjoy it. Too bad they never would.

Looks like we have either equippable masks, or these are the unlockable costumes on the Termina map.
