Pokemon Zeta / Omicron

This is a really interesting fangame, and very well done so far. The difficulty is really consistent (other than those Uproar Wishmur), to the point where stall tactics are actually viable and encouraged. I'm up to the third gym so far, and the Pokémon selection is so massive I find myself swapping my team constantly as I run into new Pokémon, which is something I'd never really do in the real games. I mean, I can actually choose between different fire Pokémon to use now, whereas only one would be available for most of the game in the real games.

Magby kinda sucks after the first gym though. Then again I had a crap nature for him coupled with terrible IVs, to the point where I had to ditch mine immediately after the 2nd gym. Although the Magby line is the only non-starter fire line with 3 evolutions, so the devs had no choice but to use him.

Bellsprout on the other hand gets very hilarious very fast, although this isn't really apparent until after the second gym.

I haven't played a single Pokémon fangame since 4th gen though. Learning how all these 5th gen Pokémon work is really interesting.

I really wonder where I can revive fossils though. I was going to use Togetic/Togekiss as my flier, but now I realize the Togepi line might only really start wrecking faces at endgame. I want to try out Archeops ASAP in the meantime.

Finally finished regions 1 and 1.5. Wow, the final boss is so tough.

Now I feel like Ash Ketchum when I went into the 2nd region.

All I can say is pineapple aipom. Twice I've gotten him to a sliver of hp while poisened but he continues to evade my great balls! This guy is going to require a master ball

That seems right about where I was at, but my team was a bit underleveled. High 60s/early 70s was when I found the Elite 4.

The Ranger Club, the Police Headquarters, and the Developer's Challenge are all good ways to level up right before you face them.

Oh, and I have a feeling you're going to have a lot of trouble against the 8th gym unless Kingdra knows Rain Dance.

Started this game a few days ago. Currently grinding to get past 3rd gym.

Final content patch includes the end of the Aroma region, Battle Frontier, more and more battle animations, and best, you can become a Gym Leader!

You don't have to restart with patches, do you? Just wondering if I should stop playing until the new release. Looks epic.
