Slap the insubordinate little pomegranate. /Don't abuse them, just lightly so they understand its purpose, slapping/hitting is bad.

It depends on where you hit the child. If it's a hard blow to the head then I'd call it an abuse. If it's a slap in the arm/hand then it's discipline. If it's spanking... well it's disciplining the child but I'd rather think it's more of sexual harassment

Depends on age too. 7-8+ I think it is okay to hit the little thing. Not totally abuse it, but show them who is boss.

Neither, if not done repeatedly.
Though, it just proves you're a bad parent.

When i was young, they called slapping a rude, ignorant whiney buttface of a child discipline. Nowadays that's all changed and kids are now considered abused if you so much as even tap their little fingers >.>
Now if you are full out punching the kid, obviously that's abuse...

my mom was telling that when I was little, when she tried to like slap me on the arm for something wrong I'd laugh at her =D, guess she didn't have courage to beat strong (and she was right).
Later on she discovered how to punish for doing things wrong: taking away the things th child likes, like videogames, TV, parties, allowance, etc. And I have to say it worked pretty well. |
