Since Sleepywood is janking our stuff I though I'd do the same.
But really I just found the responses over there pretty interesting and thought I'd give SPers a chance to show what they got!

I am 20 Years old.

1. No I do not believe it is necessary. It is instrumental in communities-
But it is also harmful in many situations- Whether it does greater good or harm I am not sure as of yet.

2. To an extent of livability yes. But enjoyment is more important to me.
Anything over 30k would be fine.

3. I voted for Obama. I felt he was the better candidate by a small margin. But I DO NOT champion that he is half-African American.
I personally am saddened that he will, regardless of deed, be known only as the first black president.

4. Good teachers that deserve respect- Yes. Anyone that teaches out of lover for the subject and the student- Yes. Someone that teaches for money or for power or for some other BS reason- No.

5.Very Important- It is a social standard.

6. Labeled- sure why not. Censored- publicly on radio, tv, etc. yes. For private purchase- no.

7. Age dependent, but generally yes. A child is a responsibility and as such you are responsible to oversee that they are not obscene.
Now where obscene lies I fall VERY VERY liberally.
But 7 year old skanks I think not.
Wearing a belt as a Tie I think is WIN!

8. Fully. It is the parents' full responsibility. Also the parent should be set with the standards and most importantly forgiving with the mistakes.
Condoms- abstinence- abortion- adoption- etc.
Misinformation and ignorance is unforgivable on the parent's behalf.

9. No. Just a really good idea. Also it makes me think higher of you cause I am a bigot. No college = no props.

10. Honesty is important. Dishonesty is a lifeskill.
You have to lie in life. Its how to lie that makes the difference.
Who to lie too that sets your trust.

I am 24 years old.

1. Religion is hardly necessary. America was founded on the idea that a man was free to believe as he wished, and that it played no bearing on politics. I do not judge people based on whether or not they practice a religion, or which one that they practice, for that matter.

2. Unfortunately, money is more important than it should be. In a more perfect world, we would all be able to have jobs that we enjoy.

3. I am rather unsurprised at Obama winning. I echo the sentiment that he will be forever remembered as the first black president regardless of how he actually performs. However, I did not support him prior to the election -- I voted for Ralph Nader.

4. Yes, I think teachers DO deserve a fair amount of respect. It's just a common courtesy. You don't always have to like them, but you should at the very least respect them. A little courtesy goes a long way.

5. Cleanliness is very important. Practicing good hygiene habits is good for your health. Keeping your room/home/work area neat and tidy is good for your health, too. It's a proven fact that clutter causes stress.

6. I don't think music, or anything for that matter, should be censored. As the late George Carlin would have said, "They're only words..." And the real honesty is, you can censor music and movies all you want, but kids pick up more profanity from those around them. And all kids really need to know is that they are grownup words, and that they are not always appropriate to say.

7. Obviously, parents will have some input in the clothing choices of younger children, as they cannot provide for themselves and their parents and other family members will be purchasing their clothes. As children get older, parents should have less of an influence, but I don't necessarily think that a parent shouldn't be allowed to say something when their child is dressed inappropriately.

8. This is an area where sadly, America absolutely fails. We have become a hypocritical nation, in which we allow our children to listen to music and wear clothes that are inappropriate for their age, but we get all freaked out about our children learning about sex in school. Thanks to some overzealous parents, school sex education has been reduced to the most basic level, and they are limited to only teaching kids abstinence. Which leaves the parents to make up the difference, and unfortunately, many won't or can't manage to discuss sex with their children. At least not in the calm, informed manner that children NEED to hear. That being said, I DO think that abstinence and safer sex should be emphasized, as let's face it, while abortion and adoption are viable options, they are also costly (both in the monetary and emotional sense) ways of dealing with a preventable situation.

9. College isn't necessary, but it certainly never hurts to broaden one's horizons. And it's never too late to learn something.

10. Honesty is a very important quality to possess. And I don't necessarily agree that lying is a skill to be mastered... more like, tactfully withholding the truth. One can still be honest without always revealing every detail.

1. No, in too few cases have I observed it to be beneficial. (I'm an atheist)
2. Don't want to answer this right now.. I may edit.
3. The much lesser of two evils.
4. As long as they themselves have intellectual curiosity, and aren't way too naive or sleazy.
5. When rationally possible it mostly helps you feel better about yourself
6. I guess labeled, but I'm surprised the f bomb hasn't lost its meaning after all these years.
7. Yes, children with their god damned weed leaf embroideries.
8. From an early age, in detail. And hopefully taught that homosexuality is not wrong... but that seems to be asking too much for what ever reason.
9. All kids should be prepared for college, atleast.

1. is religion necessary No. While it is a useful community bonding tool, it seems to have as many problems accompanying it as it does benefits.
2. is money important in choosing a career Yes - while you should do something you enjoy, make sure you can support yourself/family (where applicable) in it.
3. how do you feel about Obama wining Thank you Navy for sending me to England soon
4. must teacher always be respected Yes - respect the title, not the person, if nothing else
5. how important is cleanliness-personal, room Clean? Very important. Organized? Not so much.
6. should music be labeled or censored Yes - get rid of rap entirely
7. should parents have input on how their child dresses Yes - say no to 13 year old makeup whores
8. to what extent should parents discuss sex with their kids Calm, normal conversation at key moments (first real relationship, prob about 15 years old or more, would be the time to really emphasize this)
9. is college necessary To get a good career? Almost, but not always. To grow and mature? It's good for experimentation, but that can be done in any environment, really, excepting military
10. how important is being honest Extremely. Equally important is the discretion of when to be open with said honesty, and when to keep said honesty to oneself.

altho im religious, i don't believe everyone must have a religion. people can choose to believe it if they want

money matters only to the point where you have enough for your Needs. after your past that, money shouldn't matter in choosing a career.

i feel that nobody should support him unless they know what he believes in as a president

well, education is a privilege, some people don't even get it, of course you should respect the teacher.

your room should express yourself, if its messy, thats how you want people to view you.

free forms of expression, and its not like censoring music will do anything, people are exposed to stuff no matter what

No.

to the point where its not biased.

if your goal in life is a certain job, then yea.

very important. but if some bully asks you where his victim was, its okay to lie. your intentions matter in such situations.
