Being taken down =/= being shut down.

The thing that put me off about this game was the "complete quest without getting hit more than X times" requirement for some quests. One particularly horrid one was this quest where you had to go into this monster-filled underground carpark or something to kill mobs that only spawn down there, then go back to the NPC a whole bunch of maps away, all without getting hit more than like, 15 times or something. Apparently that quest is followed by a part 2 that's even worse.

I played this game for a bit. The hacking was so ridiculously funny it was like impossible to do anything. Though it wasn't a bad game.

The game had an fm shop you could buy with ingame money, that alone made me like it a lot more. That and skill cooldowns+combos, but I think my highest level was 21 so I didn't really do much anyway.

Liked the game, though I'm not sure I would be able to sit through all that grinding nowadays. It also had severe problems with class balance.
IE: I had the "luck" of choosing the joker as my first class and at higher levels it took like 5 skills rotations to kill anything using decent gear. That plus honestly, the skills of that class were not very... efficient (that fucking scythe thing was a waste of a skill tree slot). The berserker on the other hand could bulldoze through everything and the skills were oh so much better.

I played both games and I personally like WonderKing more. Though it is a lot more grindier than Maplestory. PVP. Your actually leveling for a reason. Though the PvP in WonderKing was pretty unbalanced, I remember those Saints dominating PvP while the Gunner's all ragequit. All attacks in WonderKing have a cooldown which means you have to use different attacks when grinding instead of holding down a key. WonderKing quests also involve more teamwork.

IMO, it's WonderKing > Maplestory

I heard downloading the Thailand version is easier than downloading the Japan version. You can join us at ClubWK as we do have a Maple community growing there: http://www.clubwk.com/

I do have to give it to Maplestory though, their BGM is much better. WonderKing BGM is just annoying and repetitive.
I used to be a pro Wonderking player until it got shut down. I now play Maplestory occasionally.
