Have you ever felt you wanted to do something, but you cannot do it because you don't know how to do it? I myself have been in that position many times, and this happens to be a rather heavy issue sometimes. Sometimes, it's "just" to learn a programming language or a mathematical algoritm, and insert the values you need. Lately, this has been different.

Imagine yourself and boy next to you. You take some ice cream from him if he doesn't have any. And gives some to him if he has some.

Wait, what? Exactly. The stuff I've tried to do lately, is pretty tough to (learn how to) do and understand. It's like trying to get a firm grip on air with your hands. That is pretty hard until you realise you can do it by buying a container which doesn't allow air to go through. Thing is, you didn't even know this container existed in the beginning, and the result requires a lot of work to get exactly what you want. You think there should be a more efficient way of doing it, which removes all the other side-effects you have.

Well, if this was just this simple, I'd have no issues with it. In fact, I'd be rather happy if it was like this. Pushing myself into learning things I never knew is something I'd love to keep on doing, not losing the spirit of learning stuff. However, there are two things that makes this to a mere hell:

First of all, it's making me exhausted. And by exhausted, I really mean exhausted. I've been working with something for two days quite recently, finally finding a possible way of doing it. However, yesterday and today ended up with doing nothing. I had no interest in doing anything. I'm just sleeping and doing nothing, literally.

Second, I do not finish anything properly. Yeah. I keep on working with something, and when I finally see the solution to do this properly, I stop working with it. I swear, I have around 20 projects on my computer. 4 rather big projects, and the rest is just smaller projects. I just stop when I know how to do it theoretically, and never finish it practically.

Now, since it consumes my time and affects me quite much, I'm going to promise myself the following:
I'll finish one of my major projects before starting on other relatively small projects related to it. Then, if I manage this, I'll work on another major project.

I suppose a lot may wonder what all these kinds of things I'm working with really is. I'd actually be quite impressed if noone actually was. Maybe I'm just thinking too high about myself and my ideas, heh. Anyway, my ideas and projects are related to MapleStory.

I want to give the MapleStory community something they will have use of and enjoy. Like Fiel, who does extraction. Like BannedStory, which gives you the possibility to make signatures quite easily. Actually, while I'm at it, BannedStory is a project which has turned out to be incredible. Like Mr. Basil, who made BasilMarket. Whereas the outcome of that project may be discussed, his intentions to create a website which helps Maplers is great. I love it.

Now, if my major project actually gets done, chances are I'll be able to create, from my point of view, stuff that will help a lot of people with issues I know they have in MapleStory. At least I had them.

Oh and yeah, could I get some "Good luck!"-posts? I'd love to get that, it'll keep my motivation up. Thank you for reading this

It puzzled me for awhile, but a month ago, I realized a way to do it conceptually. I waited till yesterday to try it out, and was surprised to find it took less than 30 minutes once I knew what to do. Maybe it'll work out similarly?

Lol I have the same problem as you.

I usually do that on homework, once I figured out how to do it, I just stop doing it but it doesn't really matter cause teachers doesn't collect them. However the stupid thing is, I recently did that on a computer contest. Universities actually looks at what you do on a computer contest. The contests have 5 questions. I finished the 2 easy questions quite easily, and by that time my hands are sore (from typing for 5 mins), then I look at the 3rd question which is quite hard and stare at it for awhile then I finally figured out the algorithm behind it, but then I just don't feel like coding by then. So i moved on to the 4th question, figured out the algorithm but too lazy to code, moved to the 5th one, figured out the algorithm and then just don't feel like coding. ended up getting 2/5 on the contest...

and GL on the project you are working on <=haha this will encourage you to work XD
(I noticed recently that I'll only work when someone needs my work, I do my friends hwk more than my own hwk...)
