A player got banned after baiting
#1
Thinking he was going to get away with it, he posted a screenshot on the forums of himself hacking. Soon enough, Aurtax got to the thread and eventually the player got banned. GG. Biggrin

he wasn't banned WHEN he was hacking however, just because he was flaunting.

Doesn't really do anything unless he gets chain banned though.

It is very important to ban even the trash account. Banning wont ever keep certain people who break the rules in line, but it helps keep the honest people honest. By others seeing that they are at least following through with the letter of their law they will be more incline to stay within the boundaries.

Doesn't seem to be working very well, judging from certain maps with 20 channels of hackers.

I suppose it's better than having him post that screenshot and not get banned, but still, not a cause for celebration.

more like false hope. Of course if someone provokes a gm during a GM EVENT they are going to be banned. Still doesn't solve the other REAL bot/hacking area issues

Aren't the GMs at the events bots? Or did that change?

Um from my limited experience they weren't bots when I participated. I chatted with girasol when I did mine though

He got banned when he posted that thread because the GMs didn't do anything about controlling the players that were breaking rules right before their eyes.

All I saw was a forum ban which has nothing to do with in game bans
