Why are people assuming that any extra terrestrial life even has our level of intelligence or even evolved like we did or even that they are somehow more advanced them us.

They probably are. But on a serious note, I don't think anyone's assuming. Most posts seems to be more about "if there are" "if they're as smart as us" "if they are smarter than us". All posts are speculation, except yours of course. Also your question can be answered by KhainiWest's post with the video.

They're out there, watching the freak show. You know they're intelligent, cause they don't want to get involved in this sh'it.

He can say anything he wants, he's not going to win any elections anymore. Hey, maybe you want to hear him expose the global financial system as a fraud? WELL HERE YOU GO! How I envy Canada, that can afford to have a nutcase for a Minister of Defense.

All our politicians are nutty in some regard no matter how hard our PM tries to have his MPs changed into robots. We literally pay our politicians to ask questions to each other that they never answer. There's a reason why they call it "Question Period". The other day our PM actually answered a question and the questioner (Tom Mulcair) said "See? It's not so hard to answer a question sometimes.". On top of that there's a Senate scandal going on and when our PM was asked about it the other day he reversed it and turned it on our leader of the opposition saying that "Mr. Mulcair should've told the police about the bribe he was offered by the former mayor of Laval when he was a lawyer in Laval in 1994." Yes, yes he should've except that Mulcair had no proof a bribe was actually being offered and he refused it anyway. Yes, that's Canada now, we peach about people in open Parliament who refused bribes and make it sound like they're horrible people for it. Sorry sorry, I just hate Canadian politics, it's all completely insane now. Ever since Harper has been in control.

WELL HERE YOU GO!Ah, that makes sense, the title mislead me to belive he was the present minister not a former(and oh boy he is former), guess its my fault for not checking his back ground. Taking that into matter theres nothing to see here, theres dozens of FORMER officials that have talked about aliens and stuff, I wanna see one to do so while in charge.

I've just gotta say, major props to everyone in that room when he gave that speech. Not a single person burst out laughing, I think I would have lost it the second he said "aliens"
