Self-inforced habits

I have to floss and trim my nails (piano major habit X_X) before going to bed, or I can't fall asleep.

I wash my face and brush my teeth after waking up and before going to bed everyday.

I also have a habit of turning off lights when they are on in excess or when nobody is in the room.

Whenever I'm at school, I always sit near the door way so I could be the first one out.

EDIT: Oh, habitual NORMAL behavior. Hmm.. I try to dump my keys in the same box on the table so I don't forget the next time because I seem to lose everything. Oh, and I can't go anywhere with my 3DS so I make sure to charge it every night.

I have to stop and talk to every cat and kitten I meet. >_> Granted cats are said to meow normally to talk to humans but I don't think it was supposed to go the other way.

I also take drink a cup of water after waking up and brushing my teeth but I think that has less to do with habit and more to do with being thirsty.

I take stairs two at a time as well (just not always), but mostly because i have really long legs from being 6 feet 3 inches tall.

When eating certain foods, I will either chew an equal amount of times on both sides of my mouth. Sometimes though, I will just take a bite, chew on one side, swallow, then take the next bite and chew on the opposite side. Rinse and repeat.

Same reason here, but im the only one of my group of friends who does it.

This is a weird one, although not a habit. I dont eat stuff with the consistency (or similar) of mashed potatoes

I must walk faster than the majority.

I must have (for school) keys, phone, USB charger cable, bus card, 2 pencils in my right pocket, wallet (with at least 10+ dollars), wall charger for phone in my left pocket.

Make sure that I have my keys, wallet and handphone with me whenever I go out, and extra phone batteries and my headphones if I were to go out for a few hours

Like just about everyone else, I double check to make sure that I have my wallet, keys, and phone.

Lock my car twice, then try the handle to make sure that it locked.
I always make sure both of the entrances to my bedroom are locked before I go to sleep, and that all lights (any light source; alarm clocks, LEDs from bathroom appliances, etc) are off. If I don't have absolute pitch darkness, I can't sleep.

I do the quick pat-down that now looks like a quick dance instead.
