Question about Kanna Link

So i guess it a diff type of total dmg that affect your range....
that mean if i have max range 2mil-2mil this kanna link wouldnt have any effect on my char ..... on the other hand potential total dmg still increase ur total dmg cuz it donest effect your range... that kinda suck if only we can get more total dmg on potential type

Yeah, man, sucks so hard to have the link skill not affect those who have 2m-2m range... Better petition Nexon to raise the range cap.

Have you ever tested that potential total damage can break the range cap? I'd just assume that it's useless too if your range is that high, because it's applied additively to things which are capped (skills that add %total damage).

Hmm I'm getting that the following are all multiplicative on my displayed range.

Battle Mastery (BAM)
Kanna Link Skill
AB Link Skill
ADA + Body Boost (these are additive with each other though)

And with only ADA and Body boost affecting ADA's DoT.

I'm also getting the result that Heroic Memories and Frenzied Soul are additive with each other for +40% that shows up in range and doesn't affect DoT/summons. I think AB link was additive with these but I'm too lazy to move my AB link. Never had Kanna link on my Evans.

I think the range cap is just visual, or at least it is in GMS. Proxied is hitting over 2.1M on Toxic Venom in one of his vids, which is more than 999999 x 165%.

Dunno if I would trust DoTs, since they use a separate but similar formula. When I looked through that BrazilMS (?) source for damage it was a spaghetti of special conditions for skills, some of which applied before or after the damage cap. It's possibly Venom's just using 165%*atk*luk*some constant.

I guess that sounds reasonable.

Well at least we do know that the range cap doesn't limit the damage produced by total damage % skills. Otherwise the 2000000 ~ 2000000 range players in KMS would hit the same damage on every line.

you had a point....i never notice all the 2mil-2mil range never had the same dmg on every line... it all diff.... hmmm that mean 2mil range isnt the max range limit.... it the 50mil cap is the real limit

Edit: Nvm I forgot there also Min and Max Critical dmg that could make 2mil-2mil range all diff

I think the range cap is just visual, or at least it is in GMS. Proxied is hitting over 2.1M on Toxic Venom in one of his vids, which is more than 999999 x 165%.

Until Unlimited, most if not all Total Damage displayed in Range will be shown as multiplicative, but are actually calculated as additive. This is a bug in Tempest and prior. The range cap will be 2m~2m before Total Damage. More total damage will continue to increase your damage after you've reached 2m~2m. More Attack% will not.

In the case of ADA and Body Boost, those are Magic Attack boosts, as far as I am aware, and are always multiplicative with total damage, and additive with other Magic%. This is why they will increase ADA's DoT.

I'm not sure how he may be hitting over 2m with Venom though.

All the total damage skills I've tested have been additive depending on whether they're active or passive, by that I mean, all the active damage buffs I've tested, Frenized Soul+Heroic Memories, Priere d'Aria+Heroic Memories, Catalyze+Transfig, Spirit Surge+Ancient Warding, have all been additive with each other, and so far for passives I've only tested Snow Charge (35%) and Kanna's Elementalism (10%), but those two were additive. 123 atk, 418 str, 49 dex should give me a range of 1.49 * (4 * 418 + 49) * 123/100, or 3154. My displayed range is 4573, which is about 1.45x what it should be. I've only seen a combination of an active and a passive being multiplicative, and sums of actives and sums of passives as well.

Oh that's a good point, don't know how I missed that. The top players will all have decent sharp eyes too so Min and Max crit damage will never be the same for any of the 2000000 ~ 2000000 range players.
