I miss all the random secrets. The warps without the glowy portals, the hidden streets with no easy way to see them, and when people did quests instead of just grind...

And I miss the difficulty, actually, and I never thought I'd say that. I liked that feeling of "Wow, fourth job skills are so cool, but I'll never be able to make it there." It was just cool having something to aspire to. Now I can make it to 120 in a couple days, or 1 day with cards.

Yeah that aspire stuff is gone from maplestory which I used to love. And you would be so happy if you actually made now. Theres still a few things like bosses but its like. "I can get there if I pour X amount of dollars at the game."

I miss the old MTS Meso:NX ratio. I turned my mesos into $300-$400. It was the best time I ever had.

I miss LPQ in 2006. I was a 4X Cleric and oh my god.

I definitely miss the Hidden Streets too. I absolutely loved seeing how far I could go with my level 90 Ranger without dying horribly in the process and back then I could also take random potshots against enemies that had higher levels. I miss that too.

I can't say I miss the levelling curve though because I slack so much that I've barely gone up in levels even after the EXP curve was re-adjusted. That, and I was screaming murder by the time I made my way through 25 levels of training at nothing but Luster Pixies.

No kidding, I went through my NX history back when I used to be a pretty serious MTS merch and I'm shocked at how much NX I made compared to today. Granted it was 10x harder to make mesos back then, but merching was so much easier back then.

I miss... old friends.

The things that I never got to really experience when I started playing like Ludi parties and Aqua parties and working together in teams and PQs being flooded with people and making friends through that. Now the game seems so stagnant, no interaction needed.
