I really want to know whether or not I am the only one having these problems with MS. I am in New Zealand.
For a few hours of the day, MS works properly. (In the middle of the night though, so yeah, that's pretty useless to me) But for most of the time, frequently when I log into MS, the game will be screwed up. It will appear nearly completly lagged out, but then every now and again for about a second, it will be normal. Like, monsters will move, and any buff that I had tried to cast will come up, and chat will come through. When it is in this state, I can't really do anything much more than try and chat in the chat thing, and see if it goes through. In the seconds that it acts normal, it is possible to CC/ go through portals, but it is really difficult to do so. I have this theory that I could repick up a decent connection by CC'ing, but have never done so successfully. I once managed to do a trade with a friend when it was like this. (It was him giving me an apple, because he owed me some, so I didn't actually have to put any of my own items/ mesos into the trade)
If when I connect it, it starts off fine, then it will stay fine until I try and CC, go into CS, go into mts, or relog. At this stage, there is a chance that it will screw up. When it screws up, the only solution is to relog. Often, especialy today, this can be relogging well over 10 times. Just to add to the frustration, sometimes the server doesn't even recognise that I have logged off. So I have to wait. Oh, and usually if I don't just relog myself, it will lose connection to server within 3 or 4 minutes anyway (Though has gone as long as 10 in that semi-connected state)
The only "solution" I have is to try 50 gazillion times to login, and then not CC, go into mts, go into cs, or mule once in. But this is realy annoying because I can't find a map to train on if the first one is taken, I can't hunt mini bosses, something I love doing, APQ is really tricky when you know that CC'ing when inside the entrance is going to give you trouble, I can't even stalk people either (I like doing that).
It seems to be character (probably level dependant). I have the problems on my level 116 crusader, and also had them on a level 50 f/p. I didn't have them on a level 48 sin, level 30 f/p, or level 15 warrior. My theory is that it screws up on anything level 50 and above.
I did for the first ever time today get the problem when trying to login to, or CC onto channel 1, on my sin. But it was fine with every other channel. I'm not too sure how related that is, the servers are quite a mess at the moment
I had this problem awhile ago, and then it went away for a few weeks, and then it came back again and has been back again for a week, and it basically makes MS not even worth playing for me -_-
Nobody try and say that it is normal lag, because I know that it isn't. It's basically, if a connection formed is okay, it's okay. If it's not, it's not. With no halfway between cases.
Today, I can't even login properly. Which is why I have decided to mention it today. I'm not too sure if it is my ISP's fault or if it is nexon's fault
It seems that this guy could be having the same problem, though I'm not 100% sure
