Prometheus Trailer
#1
Not sure if this has been posted or not but I've been looking forward to this for a long time. I've been a fan of the Alien movies for a long time. I hope it's not disappointing.

How could it be dissapointing? It's looking to be one of the best Sci-Fi horror movies since the very first Alien.

I really can't wait for the premiere.

Alien (the movie)? Looks like 3 to 6 sci-fi in one, will check what is about just because of the last 10 seconds.

Most prequels tend to be disappointing. For me anyway.

To be fair, it isn't exactly a prequel. It's set in the same universe as Alien yes, but the monsters, the story, the events have nothing to do whatsoever with Alien, excepting the fact of the space-jokey mystery.

True but from all that I've read, it seems that Prometheus is just the first part of two or more films that Scott had in mind.
I just know that I have lots of questions and I doubt they will be answered in Prometheus. Can't wait to see it either way.

I've never seen any of the Alien movies and I had no idea this was related to it. This looks great and I tossed all the Alien films on my Netflix queue, so yay.

I got the Alien Anthology a few years back.

Aliens (the second movie) is by far my favorite of them all.
I was surprised that the third movie was so completely different from the directors cut. It was like a whole new movie.
The Alien movies seem to be a source of disagreement with some of my friends. It's one of the things I actually enjoy arguing about.

This looks awesome.

I remember my dad getting the 9-disk box set of the whole series, and because i'd never watched any of them i marathoned the lot. really good films. Judging from the trailer i can easily see how it can be a prequel.

Seeing it this evening, so it's good?

EDIT:
Just got back, it was terrible imo, just is a home movie if that.

Saw it a couple hours ago... didn't really like it.

So much of it was just flat out illogical and senseless.

When you have no clear reasoning behind pretty much anything that occurred I call it crap but I'd need a spoiler tree a mile long to go into it.

The self operation was really the only part I found impressive. And there were definitely flaws and gaps in that, too.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

^For a sec, I thought I was watching taht old youtube video that explains a phenomenom when a guy just talks nonsense and the whole crowd listens to him because it "sounds interesting" but they don't realize nothing has sense.
